* PlayedForLaughs in the ''Series/JonathanCreek'' episode "The Sinner and the Sandman": a parish community hall has been named after its benefactor, Leonard Corbyn, with an EstablishingShot of the name in large metal letters. When Corbyn gets implicated in a sex scandal, the chairman of the parish council spends some time coming up with entirely fictional benefactors whose names are anagrams of "Leonard Corbyn", because the metal letters were expensive. After the vicar's vetoed making a benefactor up, a later EstablishingShot shows the sign now reads "Ye Old Corn Barn Community Hall".

* When ''Series/PopUpVideo'' featured Music/{{Semisonic}}'s "Closing Time", they pointed out that the hardest point of the split-screen video to synch up was the lead singer turning off the amplifier and the woman turning off the light switch. They mentioned that both shots took eleven takes and that an anagram of "Semisonic" is "I miss once".

*** In season 3 of the revival, [[spoiler: the Master runs for Prime Minister using the alias "Mister Saxon" — an anagram of "Master No. Six" — Creator/JohnSimm being the sixth incarnation of the Master to appear in the series. However, according to Creator/RussellTDavies, this is just a coincidence: once you've used "Mister", it's harder to ''avoid'' a "Master" anagram than to achieve one. It also does require you to both write a word in full when it's normally abbreviated (Mr./Mister) and abbreviate a word when it's normally written in full (number/no.).]]

* ''Series/{{CSINY}}'': In ArcVillain Shane Casey's first appearance, he prints clues on the t-shirts in which he dresses his victims. They're to be entered into his website, kodecon.com, which has a logo of the Scale of Justice. Mac figures out that the website name, including the period plus using a "t" for the logo, anagrams to "docket no." which indicates that the killer's motivation is a particular court case whose outcome the killer considered unfair.

* ''Series/{{CSI}}'': The serial killer nicknamed Sqweegel went by the alias "Ian Moone". Grissom realizes that it's an anagram of "I am no one," in keeping with the killer's uncanny ability to elude both true identification and capture.

This is a better fit; the example shows House using his intellect to come up with a better anagram than Wilson, which is closer to Insufferable Genius than just being a jerk.

** House, [[JerkAss being House]], immediately comes up with a ''better'' anagram to use next time: "Gregory House" -> "Huge ego, sorry".
