* CanadaEh: In "Grounded for Life", Little Pete attempts to run away from home by driving a riding lawnmower to Canada. A Mountie catches him at the border, hitches the mower to the back of his horse, and drags Little Pete home.

* PerfectionIsStatic: In "Inspector 34", little Pete befriends an underwear inspector who lives his entire life in perfection. When he interacts with Pete's family and friends, they too become obsessed with perfection. Seeing how much harm trying to perfect was doing to the inspector and his family, Pete is able to defeat the inspector via a LogicBomb when it came to eating BBQ; because he was able to eat BBQ without leaving a mess, he failed at being perfect, because the only perfect way to eat at a BBQ is to get messy.

** There's also the mind-bending drink Orange Lazarus, clearly a reference to the real world Orange Julius.

Crosswicking new trope.

Added DiffLines:

* CranialPlateAbility: Joyce Wrigley, the protagonists' mother, has a metal plate in her head (it even gets a spot in the opening credits), but it's mostly used to pick up Mexican radio stations and the local police scanner. She even met her husband because he was looking for treasure with a metal detector. The downside is that people can also it to broadcast suggestions into her mind as well, and it makes it too heavy for her to swim and vulnerable to magnetism and lightning.

Character name correction

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Given the changes between the shorts and specials to the series proper, expect this to happen with some characters--especially, and notoriously, with the bullies before the introductions of "Endless" Mike and Pit Strain for the respective older and younger Petes. A sad case, however, and much more present in the series proper is the sudden disappearance of Nona in Season Three, especially after being promoted in the opening credits.

Trying to elaborate a bit further. Still not entirely sure the series has a Big Bad, though.

* BigBad: [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant "Endless" Mike...]] is a remorseless and tremendously intimidating bully.
