Those monsters are called Ganma, and they're after the Icons. And now one of those items fell into the hands of Akari, the late Takeru's childhood friend, and she soon becomes the next target. But the aspiring ghost hunter still exists on this plane of existence, albeit in as a ghost. He is able to save her by combining the Ghost Icon with another strange device, the Ghost Driver, to not only receive a temporary life, but also to gain a power able to withstand the Ganma's might - the power to change into Kamen Rider Ghost!
