* DoNotCallMePaul: Like most transgender people, Isabela ''hates'' to be called by her birth name (or dead name, in trans parlance), which people do often when she's outed.

* TransTribulations: After she's outed, Isabela's boyfriend dumps her and many of her friends disown her. She gets insulted, bullied, asked very inappropriate questions about her anatomy and called by male pronouns, a guy or her birth name. Isabela also mentions her family moved to a different city after she transitioned, and she'd lost all her old friends for doing this. No wonder she didn't come out before.

* HeroWithBadPublicity: In episode 6 of season 2, Sofía becomes this after Pablo, with his out-of-context evidence, publicly (on social media) accuses her of helping Raúl hide Gerry from the police for [[spoiler:Luis']] death, resulting in the whole student body vilifying her. The accusations died down by the following episode.

* WouldHitAGirl: Without any hesitation, Pablo aggresively shoves Sofía to the ground when she tries to stop him from going after Raúl and Gerry, having mistakenly assumed that she was Raúl's accomplice in hiding him from the police only because he saw the three of them together at a nightclub, when it was the other way around. They needed Gerry in order to locate the Avenger.

* FormerEvilFriend: [[spoiler:Raúl]] to the popular clique and the entire student body.

* FallenPrince: [[spoiler:Raúl]] for his actions as the hacker.

* FallenPrincess: Isabela had lost her status after she was revealed to be transgendered, and Natalie as well after she stole money from NONA.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Gerry becomes this in the eyes of his friends and classmates after violently beating Luis up and leaving him in a coma. Pablo even tries to peacefully have him leave Raúl's party when he arrives out of fear for how he'll react. Subverted after he atones for his actions and the group sort-of forgives him.

* We can't deny it, Natalia is very entitled as a social climber and annoying as a person, yet she isn't wrong while pointing out to Javier that he shouldn't be returning the dirty favours made by his father after finding out about his involvement in moving [[spoiler:Susana]]'s dead body, with it being the main reason he is playing football now that everyone knows about the murder of his former teammamte.

* Bruno rightfully condemns Sofía and her friends' involvement in Susana's death for refusing to take responsibility for their own actions and move on as if nothing had happened.

* BackForTheFinale: [[spoiler:Pipe reunites with Gerry at the end of the third season]].

* {{Foreshadowing}}: Sofía's father telling her that "you can love more than one person at the same time" concerning her feelings for both Javier and Raúl. He event tells her that by the time he gets out, he will arrange for his other daughter Sofía to meet each other and someday spend some quality of time together]].

* TimeSkip: The second season takes place two months after the events of the previous one.

* BreakTheHaughty: Natalia's bitchy behavior stems from her desires of fame and money. However, by the second episode of the first season, the hacker exposes her as a thief for stealing the school's savings to buy expensive bags for herself, turning most of the student body against her. Natalia turns to drug dealing to pay the money back, something that comes back to bite her in the second season after she accidentally lost the money during the violent brawl at the NONA party over the revealed secrets, with the other dealers giving Natalia an ultimatum: pay the owed debts or be killed if the demands aren't met]].
