* TheUnfairSex: A case could be made that BothSidesHaveAPoint in the relationship troubles between Leonard and Penny and Sheldon and Amy: Leonard and Amy shouldn't have pressured Penny and Sheldon, respectively, to move in together, while the latter two should have been more honest about their feelings.

* BookEnds: At the beginning, Sheldon spoils ''Literature/HarryPotter'' for Leonard. At the end, it's ''Series/TheWalkingDead''.

* NeverMyFault: Sheldon blames everyone but himself for his troubles in this episode (as usual). After spoiling a Harry Potter book for Leonard, even though the [[{{Hypocrite}} same thing would upset himself]], he dismisses Leonard's anger as more nagging and claims Leonard is the annoying one among them. He is shocked when Leonard decides to move out and when he wants him back so Amy won't move in he claims that ''he'' forgives Leonard for his outburst instead of apologizing. He may have at least realized some of it was his fault by the end, when he accidentally spoils an episode of ''Series/TheWalkingDead'' for Leonard and attempts to [[VerbalBackspace cover it up]].

However, by the end of the episode, the implication seems to be that Penny and Amy are in the right while Leonard and Sheldon are in the wrong, as the girls righteously storm off, leaving Leonard and Sheldon looking about sheepishly. This ends up invoking a rather obvious DoubleStandard in favor of the girls, since each of them is guilty of the same supposed transgression as one of the guys.

* GracefulLoser: Or at least as graceful a loser as you can get with Sheldon, who fully agrees with Amy calling him out as a coward for throwing Penny under the bus in an attempt to redirect Amy's rage off of him.

* RantInducingSlight: Sheldon spoiling the big reveal on ''Literature/HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince'' (the death of [[spoiler:Dumbledore]]) is what sets Leonard off; it was the LastStraw after years of putting up with his selfish behavior.
