Things were not going so well for the gang. The crash had damaged the van and the time machine was not working properly. A really scary thought was that they had no idea how Le Paradox managed to develop his own time machine. They needed to figure out a way to solve these issues, or they would have to get used to permanently living in a cave.
After freeing Bob, Sly brought him back to the safe house, where he took an immediate liking to Bentley's gadgets. He then explained how Grizz stole all of his eggs. Bob eventually became depressed and fell into a slump. He also gotten out of shape, allowing Grizz to capture him and also steal his cane. The gang needed to figure out what type of operation Grizz was running for Le Paradox, and why it involved stealing all of the eggs.
