That is until Betty levels the playing field by sending in Jughead and half a dozen Serpents. Then when the blackmailers try going to the Sheriff, Betty and Jughead mention that both of them are friends with said Sheriff's son, whose father is more likely to listen to than a pair of nobodies from out of town who have no evidence to present. Because of this, the blackmailers decide to make themselves scarce without saying a word.
