* VagueAge: Tammy 1 is basically joked about as being Really700YearsOld, being already a voluntary at the hospital by the time Ron was born, being his and Tammy 2's teacher, babysitter and driving instructor, but she doesn't look a day over 50 at most and her actress Patricia Clarkson is ten years older than Nick Offerman.

Tammy One, Ron's first ex-wife, has come to tell Ron that he is being audited by the IRS. He gathers Leslie, Andy and April to help him to get out of the issue, but it turns out to be part of Tammy's plan to get Ron's gold. Meanwhile, Tom guilt trips Ben into helping him to check out the finances of Entertainment 720, only to find out that Tom and Jean-Ralphio are burning money left and right. Ann convinces Chris to help her make an ad for diabetes prevention but he turns out to be so intense and perfectionist it tires her out.

* AlwaysABiggerFish: Tammy 1 is far worse than Tammy 2, both in regards to her competence in getting what she wants and getting Ron to be subservient to her. The end leaves it clear that Tammy 1 sees Tamara, Ron's mom, as a threat to her, which implies that Tamara might be an even bigger fish.

* BodyHorror: Not explicitly, but it's said that Tammy 1 threw acid on Tammy 2's foot when she and Ron first got together.
* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: Tom and Jean-Ralphio refuse to accept any of Ben's advice out of the fact that they opened a business and nobody else did, even though they don't really know anything about it, and [[spoiler:this would lead to E-720's downfall a few episodes later]].
* DrinkingContest: Tamara and Tammy 1 get into one to decide who keeps Ron, downing glasses of the Swanson family moonshine. Leslie, and then April try to join in to keep Ron at the department, but are quickly taken out of commission. Finally, [[spoiler:Ron takes his fate into his own hands, grabs the jug, and downs it all in one go himself]].
