** In "Chameleon" Lila states that she manipulate people by telling them what they want to hear. The Sentimonster Ladybug is able to trick Cat Noir by claiming to love him, which is just what he wanted to hear.

* TheBadGuyWins: Lila suffers no retribution for her actions, and even though Adrien pressures her to get Marinette back in school, she still worms her way into a photo shoot with him as one final middle finger to Marinette.

** [[spoiler:A stark case of MoralMyopia at best, to say nothing of HarsherInHindsight as it makes repeat viewers wonder just how exactly he views his own son!]]

* {{Irony}}: At the end of the episode, Lila (on Adrien's request) "confesses" that she has a [[AmbiguousDisorder rare condition]] that causes her to lie compulsively and that's why she accused Marinette of the various crimes that had her expelled. Given that she is a ConsummateLiar, she's [[AccidentalTruth technically]] telling the truth [[MetaphoricallyTrue from a certain point of view]], but it still didn't change anything on Marinette's end.

* AdultsAreUseless: Neither Ms. Bustier nor Principal Damocles question Lila's lies, instead immediately believing that Marinette did everything she was accused of. Notably, when Lila claims that Marinette pushed her down the stairs, they not only believe her, but don't even bother to get her to a doctor, even though a fall down a flight of stairs should result in some nasty injuries.
* AnOfferYouCantRefuse: Rare heroic version. Adrien forces Lila to make another lie to exonerate Marinette or he will break off contact with her completely. Lila doesn't want that and gives in.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Marinette's obvious and long-lasting hostility against Lila does not help her cause and plays right into Lila's hands.
** Adrien's decision to "take the high road" and not tell anyone about Lila's lies results in people not believing Marinette when she rightly accuses Lila of framing her. Marinette looks like an outlier; if Adrien had openly said that Lila ''was'' lying and shared his experiences, people might not have been as dismissive of Marinette.
** Because [[Recap/MiraculousLadybugS02E24CatalystHeroesDayPart1 Hawk Moth has done the "Catalyst/Scarlet Moth" gambit before]], some of the would-be victims of akumatization were able to keep themselves calm enough to avoid being akumatized because that was proven to having worked in the past.
** While many of the characters act as GullibleLemmings and knee-jerk believe all of Lila's claims without suspicion, Marinette's HundredPercentAdorationRating ensures that [[OutOfCharacterAlert some of them are less likely to believe it]], a fraction of the people there being able to avoid getting akumatized.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Invoked by Lila at the end of the episode, stating she has a condition that causes her to lie compulsively and that this was why she accused Marinette of all of her wrong doings. Ironically, considering [[ConsummateLiar how often she lies]], [[MetaphoricallyTrue this might not actually count as a lie]] this time.

''Nor'' is Lila's mother present at the meeting in the office (why she isn't is anyone's guess), which might have resulted in some of Lila's stories being accidentally exposed if she had been there.

It may not be as wide-reaching as his first iteration, but it would have worked nonetheless.

* AllLovingHero: After getting framed and expelled Marinette is still willing to give Lila another chance. Or rather doesn't try to get her back for it.

* TheBadGuyWins: Lila suffers no retribution for her actions, and even though Adrien pressures her to get Marinette back in school, she still worms her way into a photo shoot with him as one final middle finger to Marinette. Adrien's ultimatum to her is the only reason he was willing to go through with it in the first place.

* TranquilFury: While his tone is harsh, Adrien's voice remains level and calm when he gives Lila his ultimatum to either undo Marinette's expulsion with another lie or he will cut her out of his life forever.

* NotQuiteTheRightThing: Adrien compelling Lila to make up a semi-lie to get Marinette back in school is presented as the right thing - but it isn't quite. He still hasn't told anyone the truth about Lila's lies, despite knowing without a doubt that she wants to harm the people he cares about. And now Lila has been rewarded for her bad behavior via a photoshoot with him.

* KickTheDog: Cat Noir and Ladybug are horrified when Mayura banishes the Ladybug sentimonster, since she's a sentient person that Mayura effectively murdered.
