* HateSink: Blake Whitecomb is possibly one of the most despicable and repulsive Marks Leverage has ever gone up against: he's a Neo-Nazi with an affinity for UsefulNotes/NaziGermany and presents himself as a visionary clean energy tech-guru when he's really a fraud who's secretly dumping his defective batteries on land that's poisoning the area around it. And not only that, he hires a gang of bigoted thugs to attack the interracial gay couple who own the land where he dumped the batteries.

* GratuitousGerman: Sophie poses as German royalty. Whitcomb immediately shows off his knowledge of German to impress her (as a neo-Nazi obsessed with Nazi Germany, it makes sense) and Sophie responds in kind.

* GirlOnGirlIsHot: Emily asks Blake for permission to show Breanna some tech. He comments, "I just wish I'd put cameras in the car!" Not played for laughs or titillation, but to show Whitcombe as a sleaze; everyone just freezes awkwardly. Emily notes how gross that was as soon as the two are out of earshot.

* TheNeedsOfTheMany: Emily really, really cares about helping the world with her battery technology. She's aware that Whitcombe's collection is of Nazi memorabilia, but he has to work with him because he's the only one giving her the opportunity to build an electric plane.

** Sophie, Parker, and Breanna also run the hell away from the front of the train... ''bachelorettes''.

* FantasySequence: Breanna noted how cute Whitcomb's tech expert was, then starts to freak out at the possibility having to con someone she thought of as cute. When the mark walks into Breanna's traincar, Breanna immediately falls into a daydream in which her crush is ShakingHerHairLoose.

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: The head of the hate group is modeled off of two hate group leaders: Richard Spencer ("the dapper Nazi") and Gavin [=McInnis=]. Spencer gives us the haircut, [=McInnis=] the mustache, and they both dress like that.

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: The head of the hate group is modeled off of two hate group leaders: Richard Spencer ("the dapper Nazi", gives us the clothes) and Gavin [=McInnis=] (the mustache).

* NoodleIncident: Henry's "redemption list", a record of all the wrongs he needs to right from his days as a corporate defense attorney, include such entries as "Perkins Case", "Paparazzi Yacht Debacle", and "Twenty frivoulous lawsuits in one week - a state record." It's also implied that the rest of the team has their own redemption lists.

* TheDreaded: It turns out the team ''never'' runs a job in UsefulNotes/{{Canada}} because they are stone-cold terrified of what they call "the most feared law enforcement agency in the world":[[UsefulNotes/TheMounties The Royal Canadian Mounted Police]].

It turns out that he’s an elitist Neo-Nazi who is willing to dump incredibly toxic car batteries on farmland to cover up how his supposed new invention is a fraud designed to bilk investors.
