* RealityEnsues: Even with all the time in the world, Scrooge's PooledFunds are too vast and heavy for Glomgold to transport out of the money bin in any quantity than a pocketful at a time, leading to a FailureMontage as he tries to carry heaps of coins up the ladder. He eventually realizes that he didn't need to steal ''everything'', just a tiny bit to drive Scrooge mad with paranoia.

** During the montage of Scrooge going over his security measures, Donald walks into a door force field in the exact same way Scrooge does in the opening of the 1987 series, complete with the same reverb effect.

However, his lack of fitness and equipment meant that literally having all the time in the world wouldn't matter if he can't carry the money while climbing up the ladder without having to make millions of trips, something that a character like him can't be bothered to put in the effort to do.
** The pizza boxes and soda cans mentioned above. Glomgold would've had to have had some kind of sustenance to survive a year of frozen time.

* SmartBall: Yeah, it took Glomgold an absurdly long time to notice that time had become frozen and his initial plan to rob Scrooge failed miserably, but he still came up with a plan to drive Scrooge insane and carries it out rather effectively. It's pretty impressive for someone who (as this episode alone acknowledges) often comes up with zany, impractical schemes that he rarely thinks through.

* TemptingFate: Huey is sure there's no way Scrooge could know 87 cents is missing from the bin. The only way to know would be for them to count every coin and that would be crazy. Cut to the kids all counting coins in the bin:

* PetTheDog: Scrooge has always had a tense at best relationship with his board of directors but even they mourn into their hankies and find Glomgold's antics at Scrooge's funeral in poor taste and are enraged over the way he's acting.

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: It didn't go both ways this episode, but despite how frustrated and put out Donald has been with Scrooge for years, during the funeral, he is sobbing his heart out and even runs out of the room. It's clear that Donald still loves his Uncle very much.

* {{Troll}}: After getting the hang of freezing time, Glomgold starts wearing a devil costume while messing with everyone for no reason beyond being a ginormous dick.

** The title is a reference to the ''Literature/SherlockHolmes'' pastiche, ''The Seven-Per-Cent Solution''

** Glomgold tries to take advantage of being able to stop time for the chance to be able to rob Scrooge's money bin. However, his lack of fitness and equipment meant that literally having all the time the world wouldn't matter if he can't carry the money while climbing up the ladder without having to make millions of trips, something that a character like him can't be bothered to put in the effort to do.

* TheCloudCuckoolanderWasRight: Scrooge temporarily became a CloudCuckoolander during this episode as he's driven insane, and Glomgold's confession proved that every claim Scrooge ever made, like licking everything in his office, actually did happen.

** In the opening arc of ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales'', "gold fever" was treated as an actual disease Scrooge at one point suffered, with symptoms that resemble the fake disease in this episode.

** During the montage of Scrooge going over his security measures, Donald walks into a door forcefield in the exact same way Scrooge does in the opening of the 1987 series, complete with the same reverb effect.

* TheFunInFuneral: Glomgold crashes Scrooge's funeral dancing to "All I Do is Win" by DJ Khaled in a white, sequinned suit. He would have danced on Scrooge's casket if Zan Owlson hadn't stopped him.
