* In ''Film/AllThePresidentsMen'', the reporters Woodward and Bernstein are in one scene called "Woodstein".
* In ''Film/TheBourneSeries'' fandom, there's "Nicson" for Jason Bourne and Nicky Parsons.
* ''Film/{{Carol}}'': Carese or Belivaird for the OfficialCouple of Carol/Therese. Belivaird, based on their last names, is the more common of the two.
* Among the fandom for ''Film/Cinderella2015'', the pairing between Ella and Prince Kit is called "Kitella".
* Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse: There are of course the ones brought over from the comics, like [=SuperBat=] for Clark/Bruce, Clois for Clark/Lois, and [=WonderBat=] for Diana/Bruce. However, there’s also [=WonderTrev=] for Diana/Steve, Vicroman or Zsaszmask for Victor Zsasz/Roman Sionis, [=WonderCheetah=] for Diana/Barbara, and Flashborg for Barry/Victor Stone.
* ''Film/Descendants3'' has a canon example with Jane and Carlos: for her birthday, Carlos gives her a necklace that reads "Jarlos", and she loves it.
* ''Film/TheDevilWearsPrada'' has Mirandy (Miranda/Andy) for the lead character and her boss. There is also Seremily (Serena/Emily).
* Creator/JKRowling herself came up with ship names for the two main couples of ''Film/FantasticBeastsAndWhereToFindThem'': 'Newtina' for Newt Scamander/Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, and 'Jaqueenie' for Jacob Kowalski/Queenie Goldstein.
* ''Film/ForAFewDollarsMore'': Manco/Mortimer = Mancomer, which is rather on the nose.
* ''Film/TheGoodTheBadAndTheUgly'' gives us the twisted FoeYayShipping that is "Blonco" for Blondie/Tuco.
* ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' actors ''Creator/EvannaLynch'' and Chris Rankin had a twitter thread where they reflected that the ship name for Luna Lovegood/Percy Weasley would be "Lunacy".
* ''Film/HighSchoolMusical'': Troyella (Troy Bolton/Gabriella Montez), Ryella (Ryan Evans/Gabriella Montez), Chyan (Chad/Ryan) and Troypay (Troy Bolton/Sharpay Evans).
* ''Film/TheHobbit'':
** A SugarWiki/{{heartwarming moment|s}} between Bilbo and Thorin, involving a ManHug and the sentence "I have never been so wrong in all my life," spawned a veritable army of Thorin/Bilbo fangirls who immediately dubbed the pairing "Thilbo", "Bagginshield", or, most properly, "Thilbo Bagginshield".
** Since ''Series/{{Sherlock}}'' and ''Film/TheHobbit'' have two [[Creator/MartinFreeman leading]] [[Creator/BenedictCumberbatch actors]] in common, and since those actors' characters on ''Sherlock'' are commonly shipped together, "Smaugbo" ([[CrackPairing Bilbo/Smaug]]) is also a disturbingly common ship.
** Kili/Tauriel has the portmanteau name of "Kiliel".
* ''Film/It2017'': The popular pairing of Richie/Eddie is known as "Reddie".
* ''Film/JackTheGiantSlayer'' has the highly clever name of "Elmonterey Jack" for Jack/Elmont.
* ''Film/TheLegendOfJohnnyLingo'' has a song titled "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iafubcZ2EAY Tamahana]]" (Tama/Mahana) by Te Vaka.
* ''Film/{{Maleficent}}'' has the name "Maleval" for Maleficent/Diaval and "Malora" for Maleficent/Aurora, respectively.
* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse: In addition to the standard sorts of examples of this trope that are comprised of the various characters' civilian identities and actual names, the fandom has a large number of alternate ship names based off of the heroes' superhero callsigns or some other distinguishing feature.
** Fans have come up with ''three'' nicknames for the Clint Barton (Hawkeye)/Natasha Romanov (Black Widow) pairing: Clintasha, [=BlackEye=], and [=BlackHawk=].
** The ''Film/{{Thor}}'' films have Lokane for Loki/Jane, Larcy for Loki/Darcy, Thorki for Loki/Thor, and [=TaserTricks=] for Darcy Lewis/Loki. ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' added Frostmaster for Loki/the Grandmaster, Thorkyrie for Thor/Valkyrie, and Valoki/Valki/Lokyrie for Valkyrie/Loki.
** The ''Captain America'' films have Steggy for Steve/Peggy, Stony for Steve/Tony, Stucky for Steve/Bucky, Romanogers for Steve/Natasha (based on their last names), Captain Falcon or [=FreeBird=] for Steve/Sam, and [=WinterFalcon=] for Bucky/Sam.
** The Tony/Pepper pairing in the ''Film/IronMan'' films is dubbed "Pepperony". Adding Steve turns it into "Pepperstony" and adding Bruce instead turns it into "Dr. Pepperony" instead (from "Dr. Pepper" for Bruce/Pepper).
** Some threesomes get awesome names: Tony/Steve/Bruce is known as the Stark Spangled Banner, and Loki/Pepper/Tony as [=Froz3nPizza=] (based on Loki's frost giant heritage and Pepper/Tony's "Pepperony" ship name).
** The introduction of ComicBook/BlackPanther brought with it "T'Chucky" or "Winter Panther" (T'Challa/Bucky), "Nat'challa" (T'Challa/Natasha), and "T'Cham" (T'Challa/Sam).
** ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy'': "Starmora" for Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Gamora and "Meredu" for Meredith Quill and Yondu (which mind you, not only do they [[ShipsThatPassInTheNight never interact in canon]], she has died of cancer before Yondu even enters the story).
** ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'': "Spideychelle" for Peter Parker and Michelle "MJ" Jones.
** ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'': [=IronStrange=] for Tony Stark/Dr. Strange.
** ''Film/AntManAndTheWasp'': "Langdyne" or "Scope" for Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne. "Van Dang" is also seen.
** ''Film/CaptainMarvel2019'': "Danbeau" for Carol Danvers and Maria Rambeau, and Valkarol for Valkyrie and Carol Danvers, who [[ShipsThatPassInTheNight have yet to interact]].
** When it became apparent to the fandom that in the comics, Bucky interacts with way more Marvel superheroes than he gets to in the MCU and under friendlier circumstances, several kink memes gave birth to a lot of pairings involving Bucky, each with their own superhero callsign-based combination name. Examples include [=WinterIron=] (Bucky/Tony), [=WinterWidow=] (Bucky/Natasha), [=WinterHawk=] (Bucky/Clint), [=WinterHulk=] (Bucky/Bruce), and so on.
* Legendary's ''Film/MonsterVerse'' (and possibly the wider Godzilla franchise) has apparently resulted in Mothzilla or [=MosuGoji=] for Godzilla/Mothra, and Rodorah for Rodan/King Ghidorah.
* ''Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean'' has Willabeth (Will/Elizabeth), Sparrabeth (Jack/Elizabeth), Barbossabeth(Barbossa/Elizabeth). Sparbossa (Jack/Barbossa), Sparrington (Jack/Norrington), Norribeth (Norrington/Elizabeth), Davybeth (Davy Jones/Elizabeth), Beckabeth (Elizabeth/Beckett), Dalypso (Davy Jones/Calypso), Speckett (Jack/Beckett), Turrowton (Jack/Will/James), Meckett (Mercer/Beckett), Sparrangelica (Jack/Angelica), and Gillington (Norrington/Lt. Gillette), Beckington (Beckett/Norrington), and Turrow (Jack/Will).
** There's a [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2130627/1/Behind_Brown_Eyes fanfic]] out there that refers to Will/Jack as "a Blirate" (blacksmith/pirate). If Jack was shipped with Will ''and'' Elizabeth, would that make him a [[IncrediblyLamePun Birate]]?
** One of the few relatively common ships from back in the day that ''didn't'' have a portmanteau name was Groves/Gillette, Norrington's {{Those Two Guys}}, who got paired up in the background of a lot of Sparrington fics.
* "Dastamina" refers to the pairing of Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina in ''Film/PrinceOfPersiaTheSandsOfTime''.
* "[[FoeYayShipping Pavigi]]" has [[SlashFic already]] popped up for Pavi/Luigi in the ''Film/RepoTheGeneticOpera'' fandom, not to mention "Grilo" (Graverobber/Shilo) and [[ParentalIncest Shathan]] (Shilo/Nathan).
* ''Film/ResidentEvil'' has "Clairice" or "Aberfield" for Claire Redfield/Alice Abernathy. Some fans combine them into "Clairice Aberfield".
* ''Franchise/StarWars'':
** The original trilogy has "Skysolo" for Luke Skywalker/Han Solo.
** The prequel trilogy has "Anidala" (Anakin/Padme Amidala) and "Obidala" (Obi-Wan/Padme Amidala).
** The sequel trilogy has "Finnrey" for Finn/Rey, "Reylo" for Kylo/Rey, "Kylux" for Kylo/Hux, "Reyux" for Rey/Hux, "Reylux" for [[OneTrueThreesome Rey/Kylo/Hux]], "Finnrose" for Finn/Rose, and "Damerey" for Poe Dameron/Rey.
* Happens InUniverse in ''Film/StingraySam'' after two male scientists invent HomosexualReproduction. This leads to yet another BigLippedAlligatorMoment from our heroes, as they [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNhXYmJ0G8c sing of this miraculous invention and all the ensuing names]].
-->''Fredrick and Edward had a son named Fredward, Max and Clark had a son named Mark, Aldo and Rex had a son named Alex, Bob and Ringo had a son named Bingo, Zack and Deke had a son named Zeke...''
* ''Film/SweeneyToddTheDemonBarberOfFleetStreet'': Sweenett, Toddett, and Todvet for Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett. Yes, it exists. So does Swucy for Sweeney and Lucy, and Tobett for Toby and Mrs. Lovett.
* ''Film/VictorFrankenstein'': "Igorstein" for Igor/Victor.
* ''Film/XMenFilmSeries'':
** "Rogan" for Rogue/Logan, by far the most popular pairing of the original trilogy.
** ''Film/XMenFirstClass'':
*** After its release, there was a deluge--or tsunami, if you prefer--of "Cherik" (Charles/Erik) fanfics, to the point where it would be impossible to read every one of them in a single lifetime. It even managed to supplant "Rogan" as the favourite couple of the film series--just look at the [[http://archiveofourown.org/tags/Logan*s*Rogue%20(X-Men)/works difference]] in the sheer [[http://archiveofourown.org/tags/Erik%20Lehnsherr*s*Charles%20Xavier/works number]] of stories on ''Archive of Our Own'' for proof.
*** "Beastique" for Beast/Mystique.
** ''Film/XMenDaysOfFuturePast'':
*** There has been a small, but noticeable increase in "Xavierine" ([[https://40.media.tumblr.com/5f5852e75a5e67e02d08d8504a14f300/tumblr_nczi3esrgN1s5jjv1o1_r1_1280.jpg Xavier/Wolverine]]) shippers thanks to Creator/JamesMcAvoy and Creator/HughJackman sharing a lot of screentime together. It's a MentorShip that works both ways because Logan counsels the younger Charles in this movie, but Professor X is Wolverine's mentor in the original trilogy.
*** One doesn't even have to choose between Cherik and Xavierine; there is "Cherigan" for Charles/Erik/Logan.
** ''Film/XMenApocalypse'':
*** "Charpocalypse" for Charles/Apocalypse, although it should be noted that the shippers are more likely to use the MrFanservice Creator/OscarIsaac-looking version of En Sabah Nur for their fanfics than his creepy blue form.
*** AngelDevilShipping in form of "Nightangel," or Nightcrawler/Angel.
*** "Nightsilver" for Nightcrawler/Quicksilver.
