* Mumble's dancing quickly caught the attention of several humans who just so happen to adore penguins. In particular, the NERV Tactical Commander, Misato Katsuragi, and Chuu, member of the K-Pop girl group LOOΠΔ. At first, Mumble wasn't too sure what to interact with the pair, considering he can't understand human and they were almost overwhelming when they first met. Later on, he discovered the reasoning for their behaviour; for Chuu, the penguin is her [[AnimalMotifs token animal]], while Misato has her own penguin named Pen-Pen. They cleared things up and Mumble sometimes stops by Misato's temple to hang out with Pen-Pen, sharing a few fish between them and enjoying each other's company. That said, he's been hesitant to try the beer Pen-Pen keeps drinking.

Not only is he [[TheBrute incredibly strong]] — able to tunnel through stone with his bare hands — but when properly motivated, Sloth can travel at [[LightningBruiser blinding speeds]], taking opponents by complete surprise.
** Sloth was pulled into the Pantheon as Father's Herald during the lead-up to [[spoiler:the [[Fanfic/HomunculusTheory Homunculus Theory]], an event in which the Homunculi embarked on a plan to collect more sacrifices with aid of King Bradley's High Command forces.]] This was revealed when Sloth appeared to protect Father from an enemy onslaught, leading to the Armstrong siblings finding themselves in battle with him again.
** While Alex attempted to treat this as a competitive battle under the assumption he was looking for revenge and Olivier steeled herself to deny him said revenge, both Sloth and Father corrected that notion promptly. Initially Sloth just asked if they fought before, since remembering is such a pain, before Father entered a speech about how revenge is a "paltry human emotion" and all that matters is not allowing those who stopped them before to stop them again. At that point the Fastest Homunculus finally recognized the Major and the General, becoming motivated to fight once more… since he didn't want to experience the pain of dying again.
* Having survived the battle, Sloth was promoted to the status of God following the events of Homunculus Theory [[spoiler:thanks to a power boost from Father's newly-minted Great Philosopher's Stone]]. With this, all seven of Father's homunculi children have become gods. To the lumbering giant the promotion was more of an inconvenience, as all he wants to do is [[HeavySleeper sleep]]. Still the other homunculi rely on their large brother to take care of duties that most would find mundane, such as digging tunnels.
* Since ascending he's been confronted by a few heavyweights from the Marvel Universe who heard about him through Tony Stark and Peter Parker. Hulk and Colossus hoped to stop him for the good of the Pantheon, while Juggernaut simply wanted to fight… and to claim the glory of taking down the big tough homunculus. He's also gained a rival in the form of [[BigCreepyCrawlies Buzzwole]], Major Armstrong's Pokémon partner and a powerhouse on the battlefield. The two have brawled from time to time but more often than not it ends in a draw. Either Sloth tires out or Buzzwole gives up after being unable to pierce the homunculus's rock-hard skin.

* Saitama once came after him looking for a challenge. While the two were comparable in speed and Sloth threw a pretty good punch, Saitama was still able to kill Sloth in a single blow. While he was impressed to see Sloth suddenly regenerate himself, the Caped Baldy still walked away, telling Sloth to get some training. His reply to that idea was his reply to most things.
