* In one instance he took a break from his expeditions at Rick's Cafe, wherein he caught sight of the proprietor himself and thought it was a neat trick that they looked exactly alike. Rick would be lying to himself if he said he didn't return the interest for similar reasons and for a while he sat with Dobbs for conversation whenever he came to the Cafe. Of course, word of Dobbs' actions eventually reached Rick as well and he was no longer so friendly, though he saw no reason to ban Dobbs from the place either, as long as he was a paying customer. Dobbs was fairly disappointed and said to Rick he thought they understood each other, to which Rick said he understood him all right, as he had seen a fair number of people like Dobbs meet their end at Casablanca. He added that he didn't care what Dobbs did either way, just don't get him involved in his messes. Some time later, Dobbs learned of Rick's actions in helping two resistance fighters at a cost to himself, realizing that they are pretty different after all, as Rick has that damned thing called conscience. They've been distant from each other since.

* The son of the very wealthy Kambe family, Daisuke uses his money and cutting-edge technology to solve criminal cases. He joins the Metropolitan Police Department's Modern Crime Prevention Task Force where he is partnered with Haru Kato, who disapproves of his way of solving things with money.
* Daisuke has taken a liking to the young detective Conan Edogawa and is impressed by his intuition and intelligence. Conan likewise respects how Daisuke can keep mostly keep his composure no matter how stressful the situation. He has lent Conan his money and technological sources to help him solve the various criminal cases within the Pantheon, with Conan very grateful to Daisuke for his help. It helps that an earlier version of Daisuke from the novel series is regarded as a famous detective in Conan's world.
* He has a great dislike for Mr. Burns, one of the Three Managers of Commerce. While Daisuke uses his wealth as a means to solve crime and circumvent obstacles in his investigations, he would never stoop to the level of greed that Mr. Burns has. He finds it pitiful that Mr. Burns uses his money to stage rescues to fulfill his superhero dreams as Fruit Bat Man, believing him to be far inferior to the original Batman, the "World's Greatest Detective". Using his money as heir to the Kambe Family, Daisuke is trying his best to prevent Burns from taking complete control over the House of Commerce.
* Daisuke has struck something of a FriendlyRivalry with Shinya Kogami thanks to their similarities, both being [[RavenHairIvorySkin black-haired, pale-skinned]] detectives regarded by many as handsome who have a disregard for the rules. However, Kogami, the TallDarkAndHandsome God, the stands well above the shorter, 5'6" Daisuke. This mildly annoys Daisuke, who wears shoes that elevate himself by five centimeters to compensate for his height.
* To solve crimes, Daisuke has been buying the top technology out there to help in his goals. Daisuke has been learning from Tony Stark to improve his A.I. butler HEUSC to be just as good, if not better than, Stark's famous A.I. J.A.R.V.I.S. He has also been trying to purchase some of Tony Stark's technology like his {{Powered Armor}}s to fight criminals whenever needed. However, Tony refused to Daisuke's disappointment.

* Scrooge [=McDuck=] has expressed surprise at Daisuke's willingness to spend millions of dollars to solve cases. The cheap old duck cannot understand why he would do so when he gets nothing out of it. He was even more surprised to find out Daisuke's unwillingness to become heir of the Kambe Family and fully inherit his family's abundant wealth.

* Thanks to his loose cannon tendencies and penchant for solving obstacles with money, he's come under fire by the House of Pantheon/{{Justice}} for his use of bribery and over-the-top schemes by way of his very fancy technology and social connections. However, even the House has to admit that Daisuke is ''very'' effective at solving cases and catching criminals with his methods, and at the moment he's only under surveillance and won't be disciplined unless anything drastic happens. Daisuke, on the other hand, is very confident that nothing will happen to him and continues to use his financial methods as a detective of the Pantheon.

* Although confident in his intelligent and financial resources, even Daisuke admits that [[Pantheon/OutlooksOnJob L Lawliet]] is by-far the best detective in the Pantheon even in spite of his eccentrics and far superior than himself. However, the secretive L has not been willing to communicate with his fellow detective Daisuke unless it's through his butler Watari. Daisuke has been trying to bribe L to teach him his skills by getting him the most delicious sweets possible, fully aware of the detective's notorious SweetTooth.

* In spite his previous enmities, Wario and the heroic Pantheon/SuperMarioBros Deities have remained on mostly friendly terms. Toad at times remember how he once had to fight off Wario's threat by himself when he tried enslaving Peaceful Woods, Toadette is secretly good friends with Wario, and doesn't holds any ill will against him for his past actions.
* Many times Wario has shown his HiddenHeartOfGold, though they tend to happen more in dire situations, it does prove that Wario deep down cares about his friends and employees and, even if reluctantly, might appreciate them far more than he does treasure. That said, do not try to bring this possibility up in front of him, as Wario will give you a [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown rotten day]] for it.
* Many vampire deities, even Alucard, tend to stay far from Wario because of his love for garlic as well as for being able to weaponize it. Many such as Alucard are intrigued by the fact that Wario can harmlessly turn into a vampire and back to normal with either water, sunlight or garlic which is quite unusual as usually vampire-turned people would die to garlic or sunlight, yet Wario simply goes back to normal.

** Another evil pirate who earned his scorn was Ridley, as the sadistic dragon tried raiding his temple once and proved himself to be way too cruel for Wario's tastes, that said [[BewareTheSillyOnes Wario proved firmly that he is not to be triffled with]].
* Any would-be thieves of his treasure will find themselves on Wario's shit-list. Among these thieves stood out Robin Hood, who in his classic deal stole a lot of gold from Wario's temple and gave it to less fortunate deities and other poor people, which angered Wario enough to buy security systems to keep Hood away, unfortunately for him, various other thieves have begun helping Hood steal more and more to his frustration.

A chance encounter with Bob Curtin and Howard lead them on a search for gold in the Sierra Madre mountains. They would eventually find the treasure, but over time, Dobbs would later slip into greed and paranoia.
* Originally, he wanted to take the title GoldFever, before learning that Fafnir had beaten him to the title. The two have squabbled on who deserves the title more. He has also clashed with Wario and Larfleeze due to their avarice.
* Rumor has it that Indiana Jones has borrowed his signature fedora and outfit from Dobbs. That said, Indy would rather avoid him after hearing his story given that he has witnessed several others who have died after trying to obtain certain artifacts.

* Wario was born as one of the Seven Star Children alongside Mario (his eternal FriendlyRival), Luigi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Bowser and Yoshi. As he grew up, he initially became an evil sorcerous thief utilizing his strength and power to terrorize innocents and loot treasure. Following some CharacterDevelopment, Wario instead has adopted a more AntiHero attitude, going as far as saving many worlds from bigger evils than him... As long as he can get some benefit and treasure out of it, sometimes even out of his own free will or simply to get whatever trouble that arose out of his way.
