Go bonds with the boy and discovers he's a completely human orphan and was adopted by a kindly man who really was an alien who'd come to Earth to help humanity but was stricken ill by pollution. What does the townsfolk do? Storm their shanty dwelling in a mob, dragging the screaming boy with intentions to lynch him and then gunning down his adoptive father then the ailing alien pleads for his adoptive son's life. All whilst Go is fighting to protect them and begging the mob to see reason to no success.
