The moment, however, is [[MoodWhiplash mitigated somewhat]] when [[Funny/FrightNight1985 Jerry suddenly turns and strolls out while whistling]] ''[[SuspiciouslyAproposMusic Strangers in the Night]]'' (though even that in itself is pretty menacing).

* [[LetsSplitUpGang Ed's left alone in the alley after pranking Charley and Amy]]. He turns and sees Jerry standing not far away. Then Jerry starts to pursue him at a leisurely pace, and he flees. After five minutes or so, [[HopeSpot Ed thinks he's lost the vampire]]. [[JumpScare THEN]] Jerry pops up behind him with a pleasant "Hello, Edward."

** Also when he turns into a red-eyed wolf (a real one), and then after being stabbed through the heart by Peter, he slowly turns back into his human form, and what is meant by change is that a near-naked humanoid with a wolf's face slowly morphs back into a human shape which looks [[UncannyValley disturbing and demonic]] and the gurgle as he's slowly dying will leave an impact on you. In addition to the hand effect of [[BodyHorror solidifying back into a human shape]] as well.

William Ragsdale wasn't allowed to see [[spoiler:Amanda Bearse]]'s full makeup until they actually started shooting, and if you look at his face when [[spoiler:she]] turns to attack him, you can see he's legitimately scared out of his mind.
** The scene where Evil Ed shows up under the covers of Charles' mom's bed with a red wig, the wig's [[{{Narm}} pretty narmy]] but the face gives a legitimate JumpScare.
