* Lunaris has been keeping tabs on Earth since long before Della crashed on the moon, and has extensive knowledge on Scrooge and family which he uses to threaten Donald.

* Before the episode's final reveal, the Terra-Firmians have a very unsettling appearance, with their [[GlowingEyesOfDoom eyes]] and mouth glowing red in the dark. And the way they dent the train car shows how massively strong they are.

* The Ghost of Christmas Past was planning to [[AndIMustScream strand Scrooge in the past]] simply because [[CrazyJealousGuy he was tired of everyone he helped henceforth spending Christmases with their families instead of him]]. It doesn't help that the Ghost of Christmas Past is voiced by [[Creator/JackMcBrayer the same guy]] who voices [[WesternAnimation/WanderOverYonder Wander]] and [[Disney/WreckItRalph Fix-it Felix]].

* The episode actually has a bit of a creepy vibe to it, that kicks off with the scene with Gladstone at the beginning. When asked why he called Donald and Scrooge for help, Gladstone tries to answer, but then receives a suspicious glance from one of the casino workers, which leads to him immediately backtracking. After that, Scrooge and the kids discover that they have immense difficulty locating the exit of the casino and find themselves looping back to the exact same place. Then we have the introduction of Toad Liu Hai, who seems a bit too obsessed with making sure the McDuck family stay in the casino for as long as possible. All these events provide the episode with a rather creepy atmosphere, like you get that something is off about the place but it isn't clear what.

** His actively trying to kill Drake. He shocks him, blows him up, and at one point has a chainsaw ready to cut him to pieces. If Drake weren't as tough and scrappy as he was he would have been dead.

But the crowning WhamShot has to be his costume - the purple hues of Darkwing Duck are gone, leaving an all-too-familiar yellow, red, and black.
