Pure Guava is the third album by AlternativeRock band {{Music/Ween}} and the first to be released on major label Elektra. It's a direct successor to their previous album ''Music/ThePod'', continuing the lo-fi aesthetic that they've established with that album, except while replacing the slower, sludgier songs of the former with poppier, more upbeat tunes while still retaining Ween's trademark level of weirdness and vulgarity, making this their most commercially viable outing up to that point.

There are no sources that prove this other than a Tumblr post with obviously edited footage from the ending. I could not find any interviews that prove this, and found more evidence that points to this being a joke rumor started by the Ween fandom. It's unlikely that it was ever considered for the film seeing how it contains several F-bonbs and is very screechy.

The album helped the band reach a wider audience, and it spawned their first album single, "Push Th' Little Daisies", which was a minor hit, being one of two singles from the band to chart. It spawned their first music video on MTV which was riffed on by ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButthead''. "Push Th' Little Daisies" was, for a while, their most famous song, until ''Music/TheMollusk'''s "Ocean Man" surpassed it in popularity. "Mourning Glory" was originally going to be used in the end credits of ''WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobSquarePantsMovie'', but due to it being tested poorly, it was ultimately swapped out for "Ocean Man".

!!See the Tropes, make me laugh:

* ADateWithRosiePalms: "Touch My Tooter".
* ClusterFBomb: The ending of "Reggaejunkiejew" where Gene repeatedly chants "Fuck you!"
* ContentWarnings: The first Ween album to be slapped with one, though Elektra retroactively added one to ''Music/ThePod'' when they re-released it on their label.
* ContinuityNod: The Stallion (Part 3), the third part of a two-part song from the previous album.
* IntentionallyAwkwardTitle: "Reggaejunkiejew", "Flies on my Dick", "Touch My Tooter", and "Hey Fat Boy (Asshole).
* FakeOutFadeOut: "Sarah" seems to end in the middle, only to suddenly come back and launch into a brief second verse.
* FeedbackRule: Dean's mic feeds back when trying to sing a line in "I Saw Gener Cryin’ In His Sleep".
* FellAsleepCrying: PlayedForLaughs in "I Saw Gener Cryin’ In His Sleep".
* JustForPun: "Mourning Glory", a pun on "Morning Glory", a type of flower.
* MultiPartEpisode: "The Stallion (Part 3)" is a continuation of parts 1 and 2 from ''Music/ThePod''.
* NoEnding: "Reggaejunkiejew" seems to leap into another section at the end before abruptly cutting off.
* NoiseRock: "Mourning Glory". Holy shit, "Mourning Glory". It's a bunch of weird electronic screeches and feedback while some kind of spoken word story about [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext pumpkins]] is told in the background.
* OneWomanSong: "Sarah", about Gene's then-girlfriend, later-wife, and now ex-wife.
* PrecisionFStrike: In "Push Th' Little Daisies":
---> ''Happier than shit''
* {{Sampling}}: The radio edit of "Push Th' Little Daisies" censors the word "shit" from the line above with a sample of Prince squealing.
* ShoutOut: The word "shit" was censored from the radio edit of "Push Th' Little Daisies" with a sample of Prince squealing from his song "Alphabet St."
* SillyLoveSongs: "Push Th' Little Daisies" and "Sarah".
* StudioChatter: After Dean's mic feeds back in "I Saw Gener Cryin’ In His Sleep", you can hear Gene yelling at him for messing up (again, apparently) in the background.
** Someone says "Stop the tape!" at the end of "Mourning Glory".
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: "Reggaejunkiejew".
* ToiletHumour: "Poop Ship Destroyer".
