Doll Skin is an all-female rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. They originally formed in 2013 in order to compete in a BattleOfTheBands at a local high school. As it happened, David Ellefson, bassist of {{Music/Megadeth}}, was one of the judges; when Doll Skin won first place, Ellefson offered to act as their manager and producer. Since then, they have released an EP, 2015's ''In Your Face'', and two albums, 2016's ''In Your Face (Again)'' and 2017's ''Manic Pixie Dream Girl'', and toured with bands such as Music/DeadKennedys, Music/SocialDistortion, and {{Music/Otep}}.

* FloralThemeNaming: All of the songs on ''Manic Pixie Dream Girl'' were originally going to be named after flowers, but the idea was ultimately discarded because the band didn't want to force the songs into titles that didn't fit. Three of the songs still follow the theme, though (and all ended up next to one another on the album): "Sunflower", "Sweet Pea", and "Baby's Breath".
