Possibly TropeMaker and certainly TropeCodifier of GothRock. Bauhaus aren't just ''a'' goth band, they were ''the'' goth band. Although the band mainly performed GothRock and PostPunk, they were not limited by it it, and often explored their love of dub music. The band consisted of vocalist of: Vocalist Music/PeterMurphy, guitarist Music/DanielAsh, Daniel Ash, bassist Music/DavidJ, David J, and drummer Music/KevinHaskins.

When the band broke up, Murphy formed the short-lived Music/DalisCar short lived Dalis Car with Music/{{Japan}} bassist Music/MickKarn Mick Karn, followed by a solo career, and career. Haskins, Ash, and Glenn Campling formed Music/TonesOnTail. Shortly after Tones on Tail, Music/LoveAndRockets (after the [[ComicBook/LoveAndRockets Hernandez brothers' comic]]) was formed from Ash, Haskins, and J.
