''Rebellion'' retells the events of the original series but expands on and diverges from certain plot points much in the same vein as ''Manga/MobileSuitGundamTheOrigin'', a series that Imanishi also worked on. Three Years after the conclusion of the One Year War, a shaky peace has come to the Earth Sphere. * ArcWelding: The manga connects the events of 0083 with a number of elements from previous series, most notably the OVA's. Alice Miller from ''08th MS Team'' is incorporated to find the spy onboard the Albion and Monique Cadillac and her team from ''MS Igloo'' are revealed to be the creators of Gato's Neue Ziel.
* ArmCannon: The AHA-GM-C, the Federations attempt at a nuclear weapons MS before contracting to Anaheim, has one. While the GP-02's nuclear launcher is portable, the entirety of the AHA-GM's arm is converted into a nuclear bazooka.
