** Played straight in the OVA, when [[spoiler: Takeshi]] hallucinates he's taking off [[spoiler: Saeko's]] bikini top, she has no nipples.

* DubNameChange: Alice's name in the dub is "Arisu", as in "Ar-Ri-Sue" even though her name is very clearly written and translated as "Alice" in the manga.

** At the police station the group encounters the zombified chief of police who, judging by the pistol hanging on his finger, must have attempted to commit suicide but failed to do so in time.
* DubNameChange: A particularly glaring issue with the dub in an age where great care is taken to properly pronounce names, Alice's name in the dub is "Arisu", as in "Ar-Ri-Sue". This wouldn't be a big issue if not for the fact that her name is very clearly written and translated as "Alice" in the manga. It's still technically correct, after all, but the producers must have figured that for a series that takes place in Japan, with a cast who all have Japanese sounding names, one character who doesn't have a Japanese name must obviously be out of place.

* ZombieInfectee: This must have happened several times off-panel, like how zombies [[spoiler:got aboard Air Force One]] and the "Curtis Wilbur" or how they breached the airport isle.

* BabyGotBack: These woman are very well-endowed in a lot of ways.

* LesYay: A few of the scenes in the anime have this in it.

* HeelFaceDoorSlam: Yamada, and arguably Misuzu in the anime.

* DysfunctionJunction: Everyone on the team is sane, with a decent grasp on reality, but the horror of their current situation has made everyone a tad bit unstable, and a few of them have displayed [[HeroicSociopath Sociopathic]] / AxCrazy tendencies.

** Averted when Rei is about to execute [[spoiler:Shido]] for what he did to her [[SinsOfOurFathers because of what her father tried to do to his father]]; he's clearly sweating, and when she decides he's NotWorthKilling he makes enough of a scene to be kicked off the Takagi property even though the very fact that he did such a horrible thing to his own student, thus martyring her academically, warranted Mr. Takagi's boot at the very least.

* KarmicDeath: The BFF who turned on her friend. All the noise she was making to be let go earned her a DeathByIrony a few seconds later.

** And nothing of value was lost.

** Subverted if he was as convinced they were all doomed as he said. He may well have been a DeathSeeker at this point.

* GunNut: Kohta is a self-proclaimed "gun otaku", but as he is a sixteen-year-old in ''Japan'' at the start of this series, he doesn't actually own any. He did however go to America and learn how to shoot at an [=NRA=] camp.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotPolitical: Some parts involving Saya's family were censored, as they are a group of [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyoku_dantai uyoku dantai.]] That is, [[ImperialJapan militant, traditionalist Japanese with an eye on reclaiming lost territory and historical revisionism in the name of yamato damashii.]] Sojiro actually [[NotSoDifferent compares Komuro, Saeko, and Kohta favorably to themselves.]] It's considered politically incorrect in Japan to forward ideas like that, much less on a FanService show, hence it shouldn't be surprising we are presented with edits.
** In the manga it isn't clear if it's the author's personal opinion, but the left-wing survivors seem to be far more idiotic than the right-wing survivors.
