"Panic attack" is a term used by psychologists referring to people with anxiety disorders; it's not applicable here.

This trope is a stock comedic ending. After a whole episode of wacky shenanigans, a character sees some innocuous object that reminds them of today's harrowing misadventure and promptly has an unusually negative reaction. Its severity can vary, from an expression of distaste and exasperation ("No thanks, after today's horrific incident I don't want to see another codfish ball as long as I live") to full-blown homicidal rage, or a panic attack where the character flees screaming a BigNo into the distance.

** In Episode 37, Lincoln, Lisa, Lynn, Luna, and Lola read a story in which they and their other sisters mistake Lincoln for a murderer and have Fantasy Sequences of him saying, "Oh, that's fine" and then killing him. After the episode, when Lincoln uses the same phrase (saying that it's fine that Luna ate the last popsicle), this scares his sisters.

* WesternAnimation/HarryAndHisBucketFullOfDinosaurs:
** At the end of "But I Like Mud!", Harry, who'd spent the episode getting really dirty, says that he's fine with taking a bath now... because he can get dirty again the next day. Steggy is dismayed at this, having had enough of getting dirty.
** In "Can You Hear a Drip?", Dino World gets flooded due to bathwater leaking into the bucket. At the end, Harry takes a bath and invites the dinosaurs in, but they say they've had their fill of getting wet.
** Downplayed at the end of "You're Too Little!", which focused on Harry drinking milk that made him grow and shrink. At the end, Nana offers him milk, and Harry's a bit nervous it would make him grow or shrink, but when Taury gives him the thumbs up, Harry happily drinks it.
** In "Mirror, Mirror", the main characters go through a mirror to a backwards world. At the end, Taury says some sentences backwards, scaring the other dinosaurs.

* WesternAnimation/LittlePrincess: Downplayed at the end of "I Want to Do Magic", in which the Princess thinks she's made the Queen disappear. When the Queen asks the Princess if she will make things disappear in her magic show, she says, "No -- disappearing things is too easy".

* WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters: In "The Grundel", the titular MonsterOfTheWeek lures a boy, Alec, into its clutches by offering him the opportunity to do anything he wants, free of parental control. After being freed, Alec asks the Ghostbusters if he can work the siren while they're driving home. Ray says that as far as they're concerned, he can do anything he wants. Shaking his head, Alec says he's heard that before (though he's quite happy to play with Ecto-1).

** Subverted in the "Slimer" short "Movie Madness" -- Slimer has a run-in with Dweeb and Elizabeth at the movies, and at the end, Bud asks him if he wants to go again the next day. Slimer says no, making it seem like Dweeb and Elizabeth scared him off, but then growls at the viewer, indicating that he just isn't in the mood for another trip to the movies.
** At the end of "The Boogieman Cometh", the Ghostbusters are on-edge after dealing with the Boogieman, who attacks from closets, that when they hear Slimer fooling around in the closet, they immediately get scared and ready their proton packs, thinking him to be the Boogieman, and then Peter gets angry when he sees it was Slimer. Also overlaps with ShockAndSwitchEnding, since initially, it seems like it might actually be the Boogieman.
** The premise of "It's a Jungle Out There" is that there are cursed animals around. So at the end, when Janine gives them a talking animatronic dog, they run in fear, thinking it's a real, cursed dog.
** Subverted at the end of "Surely You Joust", which involves a fairy tale coming to life. At the end, Ray offers to read the story to Slimer, and he says no... but then he reveals that he's not scared or angered by the adventure; he just knows how the story ends now.
** At the end of "Future Tense", which involved a water demon possessing the TV and then nearly killing the Ghostbusters with a storm, Ray wants something to do before bed. He decides he's too shaken from the experience to watch TV, so he tries Bookworm reading a book, but that doesn't work either since it begins with "ItWasADarkAndStormyNight".
** In "The Mean, Green Teen Machine", the main villains are obsessed with pizza (as part of a TakeThat to WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles), so at the end, when Slimer suggests having pizza for lunch, one of the Ghostbusters throws a pillow at him.

Added DiffLines:

** In "What the Big People Do", Tommy and Chuckie imagine what life will be like when they grow up, and Angelica is their MeanBoss. So when the fantasy ends, and the real Angelica wants to play house with them, they scream, not wanting to be put in adult roles with Angelica again.

This trope is a stock comedic ending. After a whole episode of wacky shenanigans, a character sees some innocuous object which reminds them of today's harrowing misadventure, and promptly has an unusually negative reaction. Its severity can vary, from an expression of distaste and exasperation ("No thanks, after today's horrific incident I don't want to see another codfish ball as long as I live") to full-blown homicidal rage, or a panic attack where the character flees screaming into the distance.

* Animation/PleasantGoatAndBigBigWolf: In one episode, it's Paddi's birthday; coincidentally, it also happens to be Wolnine's birthday as well. Her husband Wolffy bakes her a gigantic cake and kidnaps and traps Paddi inside of it, but Paddi manages to escape by eating his way out. By the time he's reunited with his friends at his party, he's much too full to eat his own birthday cake, and bursts into tears while complaining about his stomachache.

A subtrope of TraumaButton. Compare ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere, HereWeGoAgain and WeAreNotGoingThroughThatAgain. If the events of the episode were AllJustADream, and they respond with anger, it's overlapping with MadAtADream. For further laughs, the trauma button will be an AbsurdPhobia.

* WesternAnimation/Rugrats has an episode in which Angelica decides to eat some of a freshly baked cake despite her mother explicitly telling her not to. Contrary to the usual course of events, things culminate with her winning a contest and inheriting a candy company. She becomes emancipated and enjoys her wealth. Ultimately the stress of running a company gets to her. Unsurprisingly, it's AllJustADream; she wanders into the kitchen to find that her mother made a cake that looks exactly like the one she'd eaten without permission. Her mother offers her a slice, only for her to run away screaming, "NOOOOO!!!".

At the very end, after he's safely home, Didi brings him a toy banana as a present, and he starts bawling again.

* The Whitestone arc of WebVideo/CriticalRole (a very dark adventure involving vampires, necromancy, demonic possession and a boatload of trauma for the party Gunslinger, Percy) ends with a winter festival and a children's entertainer inviting Percy to take part in his show. Percy happily agrees, but Keyleth panics, grabs the magician by the collar, pulls him close and threatens death if he does anything to hurt her friend any further.
