* In ''Franchise/StarWarsLegends'', Mitth'raw'nuruodo is almost universally called "[[SomeCallMeTim Thrawn]]" by the time of ''Literature/TheThrawnTrilogy''. Books and stories set earlier have him get people to use the shorter name [[Literature/OutboundFlight first as a courtesy]] when the humans he meets insist that he use their last names and proceed to hopelessly mangle ''his'' name - "And please call me by my core name, Thrawn" - and later with a shade of contempt.
