* In Stepen King's ''Rose Madder,'' a minor character reminisces about having been gay ever since two of his father's friends took turns performing oral sex on him when he was a young child.

* A rather bizarre version occurred in the ChristopherMoore novel ''[[{{ptitlec5ez773k}} Fluke: Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings]]''. A pair of female marine biologists are at sea researching the mating patterns of humpback whales, when their tiny boat is caught between a female humpback and a pair of males. After [[spoiler:being savagely beaten by ten foot long penises and covered in gallons of whale semen]], they promptly decide to become lesbians.

* Legato Bluesummers from the ''{{Trigun}}'' manga is shown to have been raped (possibly numerous times) by the town mayor. After he gets rescued by Knives, he is later seen being only attracted to and in love with men (namely Knives and Vash).
** He hates Vash...and unlike Elendria, who's a rather attractive scary-as-hell (in the inhumanly deadly sense) m-t-f transgender who didn't make it into the anime, Legato's obsession is only sexual in that it's frighteningly intense and visceral, and he has the sexually-twisted background. (Mayor? I thought he was a straight-up kept catamite.) It's one of those 'intense sexuality and immense power getting about the same reaction, possibly simultaneously' things. So, yeah...twisted, aren't we?
*** The guy did run the town. He also owned Legato. Legato hated the whole place enough that instead of using his newly discovered mind-control superpowers to kill the people who actually did things to him, he waited months to make sure he had everyone in his grip--and then when he was almost ready to kill everyone Huge Earlobe Mayor found out somehow and proceeded to rape him to death. No word on why Legato couldn't kill him on the spot, since a few minutes later he was able to keep Knives from decapitating him long enough to express his devotion and then release it at will. Knives decided not to kill him. And asked his name. It's, like, the nicest thing he's ever done.
*** And Legato, while admittedly messed up in the anime, is completely frigging sadistically doo-lalley in the manga. To the point where [[spoiler:Midvalley tries to lead a coup out of sheer embarrassment that he's taking orders from this psychotic in the self-torture sarcophagus/Iron Maiden/straitjacket thing trying messily to eat a bloody rare steak with just his teeth.]]
** He does hate Vash. Anime Legato has a strange condescending pseudo-affection for him, and frequently addresses his own left arm as if it were Vash. [[spoiler:It was originally Vash's arm.]] Manga Legato mostly just wants Vash killed. The whole Gung-Ho Guns arc was mostly his attempt to...MurderTheHypotenuse, in a really strange way. Plus the thing with the coins. Knives is not pleased.

Curiously, both male and female victims exhibit the same response to rape, which is to become attracted to the same sex. Men become attracted to men, and women become repulsed by men. This trope comes from many people's idea that heterosexuality is the "default" state, and that homosexuality exists only due to strong outside stimuli such as sexual trauma: [[DarthWiki/WallBanger addiction for men and revulsion for women.]]

Hentai stories involving some form of rape of a target whose sexuality is [[IncompatibleOrientation not in preference of the rapist's gender]] are often guilty of this this as well. ** This entire scene carries such twisted MoralDissonance that it makes the rest of the play nearly unwatchable. Who knew adults having sex with children was okay when both participants are of the same gender, or at least it is if they both have vaginas. The scene is such an [[WallBanger ugly mess]] that it's hard to tell what the aesop was, but it sure isn't family friendly.

* In the original ''{{Goldfinger}}'', James Bond rapes Pussy Galore. In the film, their sex scene is more SlapSlapKiss, but the novel makes it much more explicit that Bond effectively rapes lesbianism out of her.

** I'd say this was only a possible example. Alois could have been gay anyway. The episode that shows his past skips straight (pun not intended) from [[spoiler: Luka's death]] to him arriving at the earl's manor. We don't know for certain that the rape ''caused'' his status as a DepravedHomosexual.
*** Still, [[YourMileageMayVary at least in ThisTroper's opinion,]] the aforementioned offers some pretty strong evidence that, if ''nothing else'', Alois being continually violated lead to him becoming [[MindRape tremendously twisted,]] perhaps affecting his conceptions of sex worst of all.

* Though not a true example of this trope, KickAss deserves mention here. Early on, the main character removes his secret superhero costume after being severely beaten, and his dad and his schoolmates believe that he has been raped by muggers and that he is now gay.
