In ''Franchise/StarWarsLegends'' comics and deleted scenes from ''Film/RevengeOfTheSith'' it's shown that she was killed in Order 66, but the canonical ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTalesOfTheEmpire'' reveals that the Empire recruited Barriss to become one of the Inquisitors.

** In ''[[VideoGame/PokemonSwordAndShield Sword and Shield]]'', [[spoiler:Chairman Rose is arrested for mass endangerment after unleashing Eternatus, which the player trainer and Hop defeat with Zacian and Zamaenta at their side]].

* ''Anime/DeliciousPartyPrettyCure'':Godatz's final fate sees him placed in prison alongside his subordinates, presumably for life. No one will feel sorry for him considering he almost doomed humanity to a slow and painful death by starvation. Though it's implied from how Cure Precious was able to reach out to him that he may have surrendered upon defeat.

* In ''Film/TheDarkKnight'', Batman has the opportunity to let the Joker fall to his death, but following his CharacterDevelopment, he instead catches the Joker with his grappling hook, letting him dangle upside down for the police to take him away. He was made absent in ''Film/TheDarkKnightRises'' due to Creator/HeathLedger passing away, but the novelization confirms he's still in Arkham. Or so it's hoped.

* ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc'' has the Child Detection Agency place [[spoiler:Henry J. Waternoose]] in their personal vehicle once his involvement in the child-kidnapping scheme is exposed.

* ''Franchise/HarryPotter'':

* ''Literature/WalkersCrossing:'' Gil, Matt's father, and several of their cronies are arrested for [[spoiler:shooting down a Game & Fish plane they thought belonged to the ATF,]] and are awaiting trial at the end of the book.

* At the end of ''[[VideoGame/AnnabelleRPGMaker The Exorcism Of Annabelle Sunray]]'', after Annabelle and Roxanne manage to escape The Church and run into the police, the last we see of [[SinisterMinister The Preacher]]/[[spoiler:Jason]] is being subdued by [[spoiler:Father Martin]], and subsequently the narration stating that the villain was arrested for running an OrphanageOfFear among other crimes.

* ''VideoGame/MegaMan6'' closes out the NES era with Doctor Wily at last arrested and behind bars. Of course, this isn't the end of Wily, as he gets freed at the start of the next game by Burst Man, Freeze Man, Junk Man, and Cloud Man.

Korra later visits him while in jail, and after she tells him exactly what his anarchism caused, he decides to help her a bit, though he is not freed by the end of the series.
