* ''Good Morning America'' often shows trailers and clips for Disney properties before their online release, among them ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'', ''WesternAnimation/FindingDory'', ''[[Film/Aladdin2019 Aladdin]]'' and ''WesternAnimation/RayaAndTheLastDragon''. On at least one occasion, they've even done this for a short, namely, the ''WesternAnimation/InsideOut'' companion ''WesternAnimation/RileysFirstDate''. On April 30th, 2019, they premiered the trailer for non-Disney property ''[[Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020 Sonic The Hedgehog]]''.

* ''VideoGame/{{Sonic|TheHedgehog}} Mega Collection'' had the trailer for ''VideoGame/SonicHeroes'' on it. Later, a few people preordered ''VideoGame/MarioKartDoubleDash'' for the ''Sonic Heroes'' demo included on the [[PreorderBonus preorder bonus disc]] (among other demos and trailers, such as bonus items added to ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade'').

* The VHS release of ''WesternAnimation/AGoofyMovie'' contained a music video for the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parachute_Express Parachute Express]] song "Dr. Looney's Remedy" to promote the direct-to-video music special ''Parachute Express: Come Sing with Us''. * ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' is a natural place to show previews for Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse films, as they're all part of the same franchise.

* The pilot episode of ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb'', “Rollercoaster”, aired right after the premiere of ''Film/HighSchoolMusical2''. Fittingly, both are Disney productions co-starting Music/AshleyTisdale.

* The first ever teaser trailer for ''WebAnimation/MetaRunner'' was attached to the end of the ''Machinima/Supermarioglitchy4sSuperMario64Bloopers'' episode "War of the Fat Italians 2018", while the teaser for the second season was attached to the beginning of "A Totally Normal [=SMG4=] Episode".

* The first teaser for the long awaited ''Film/{{Avatar}}'' sequel, ''[[Film/AvatarTheWayOfWater The Way of Water]]'', was featured wordlwide before screenings of ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness''.

* The teaser trailer for Creator/ChristopherNolan's ''Oppenheimer'' debuted exclusively in front of screenings of ''Film/{{Nope}}''.

* The first teaser for the long awaited ''Film/{{Avatar}}'' sequel, ''[[Film/AvatarTheWayOfWater The Way of Water]]'', was featured wordlwide before screenings of ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness''.

** ''VideoGame/UnlimitedSaga'' takes this UpToEleven, with more work actually being put into the ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX'' demo than the game itself. People vaguely remember some not very good RPG that came with ''A PLAYABLE DEMO FOR FFX!''

** The actual movie spoofs this in [[TheStinger its stinger]]. [[spoiler: A sneak peek of the ''[[WesternAnimation/FrozenII Frozen 2]]'' is promised, but instead turns out to be Ralph doing a JustForFun/{{Rickroll}}]].
* To get fans of the franchises in question to see ''WesternAnimation/FrozenII'', the trailers for ''[[Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020 Sonic the Hedgehog]]'', ''WesternAnimation/{{Scoob}}'', ''WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOnTheRun'' and ''WesternAnimation/TrollsWorldTour'' all premiered on prints of the film before anywhere else.
** For some odd reason, the ''[[WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOnTheRun Sponge on the Run]]'' trailer was also attached to many prints of Creator/GretaGerwig's ''[[Film/LittleWomen2019 Little Women]]'', of all films, to the point where it became a meme to note how odd the trailer's placement was.[[note]]It could be argued that as ''Little Women'' catered to families, it's reasonable.[[/note]]

* Creator/{{J J Abrams}} has been known to do this for announcing new projects. The first trailer for ''Film/{{Cloverfield}}'' was shown before ''Film/{{Transformers}}'' before production even started. Same thing with ''Film/{{Super 8}}'' being shown before ''Film/IronMan2'' and within ''VideoGame/{{Portal 2}}''.

* ''Film/TheHobbitTheDesolationOfSmaug'' included the first teasers for ''Film/{{Interstellar}}'' and ''[[Film/{{Godzilla2014}} Godzilla]]''. The latter teaser helped convince some fans displeased with ''Film/TheHobbitAnUnexpectedJourney'' to give ''Smaug'' a chance, if only to see the skydiving sequence from ''Godzilla'' on the big screen. An odd case in that, despite the piggybacking, ''Smaug'' outgrossed both ''Godzilla'' and ''Interstellar''.
* Screenings for ''Film/{{Godzilla 2014}}'' also included the second trailer for [[Creator/ChristopherNolan Christopher Nolan's]] ''Film/{{Interstellar}}''.

** ''Film/{{District 9}}'' and ''VideoGame/GodOfWarIII''.

* Commercials for ''{{Film/Elektra}}'' aired with promises of the first trailer for ''Film/FantasticFour2005''.
** Ironically, about ten years later, the [[Film/FantasticFour2015 reboot for the latter film]] pulled the same thing by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rVY8eo3Res advertising that the movie would feature a trailer for]] ''{{Film/Deadpool|2016}}''.

* The original Japanese VHS copy of ''[[Anime/{{Doraemon}} The Doraemons: Doki Doki Wildcat Engine'' and ''Doraemon: A Grandmother's Recollections]]'' contained a rare trailer for ''WesternAnimation/ThomasAndTheMagicRailroad'' at the end.

* ''VideoGame/{{Crackdown}}'' didn't have a demo for ''{{VideoGame/Halo 3}}'' (since demos can just be downloaded from Xbox Live), but it had access to the multiplayer beta. ''Crackdown'' was expected to get loads of returns after the beta closed, but that was not the case. In fact, Microsoft reported that the ''Crackdown'' multiplayer got more play time than the beta (although the actual release of ''Halo 3'' got even more, predictably). Combined with the critical acclaim the game received, Microsoft stated they want a sequel, which they got at E3 2009. It didn't have access to the ''VideoGame/HaloReach'' multiplayer beta (''VideoGame/Halo3ODST'' filled in the spot this time).

* A short demo for first-person shooter ''[[VideoGame/Area51FPS Area 51]]'' was available in ''VideoGame/MortalKombatDeception''.

* The UsefulNotes/PlayStation2 version of ''VideoGame/MegaManXCommandMission'' included the intro stage of ''VideoGame/{{Mega Man X}}8'' as a demo.

* ''VideoGame/InFamous'' came with access to the ''VideoGame/Uncharted2AmongThieves'' multiplayer beta. They did it again with ''VideoGame/InFamous 2'', which came with access to the ''VideoGame/Uncharted3DrakesDeception'' multiplayer beta.

* Much like ''Crackdown'' and ''Halo 3'', the [[LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition Epic Edition]] release of ''VideoGame/{{Bulletstorm}}'' on the Xbox 360 shipped with a voucher for the ''VideoGame/GearsOfWar 3'' beta.

* The 2010 reboot of ''VideoGame/MedalOfHonor'' came with early beta access to ''VideoGame/{{Battlefield 3}}''. Likewise, ''Medal of Honor: Warfighter'' comes with beta access to ''VideoGame/{{Battlefield 4}}''.
