* [=R2D2=] from the ''StarWars'' films can be understood by several other characters, including Luke and C3PO, despite communicating entirely in bleeps. Threepio is normally the one to translate (or [[SoWhatYouAreSaying otherwise reveal]]) what he is saying for the benefit of the audience.

A character talks in some sort of [[SpeakingSimlish Simlish]], because they are TheUnintelligible or an HeroicMime, but none of the other characters have any trouble understanding them. Comedy is often derived from this when the characters get something complex, eloquent or otherwise plain long from a short phrase like "[[{{Discworld}} ook]]". (See also: TranslationYes.)

**That's not true. Everything that Kenny says is full dialogue. There are several instances where his lines are even completely close-captioned! As the seasons have gone on, his speech has become somewhat less muffled, and most fans shouldn't have much of a problem understanding him (since it's usually real simple fare, like "Yeah?", "Like what?", "Okay!", or "What the fuck?").
