None of the Jurassic Park creatures meet the "ote that to qualify for this trope, a creature cannot merely be a large, terrifying genetically engineered beast — it must also fit into the established definition of an Eldritch Abomination." qualifier.

* The Indominus rex from Film/JurassicWorld is a genetically modified T. rex with DNA spliced in from Velociraptor, cuttlefish, tree frogs and vipers, among other creatures. Using its intelligence and plethora of abilities, it escapes from its pen and goes on a killing spree, even slaughtering an entire herd of Apatosaurus seemingly for no other reason than to test out its own strength.

A SubTrope of GeneticEngineeringIsTheNewNuke, seeing as it was bio-engineering that created these horrors. Likely to overlap with BioweaponBeast if they were created for combat purposes. For other artificially created Abominations, see MechanicalAbomination, and if both tropes overlap, the combination results in an unholy example of OrganicTechnology and MeatSackRobot.

* Literature/AllTomorrows: In the distant future, humanity goes to war against the Qu, a race of ScaryDogmaticAliens... and they lose. The Qu punished the survivors by turning them into these. Many of these creations would qualify as WoobieSpecies, such as the Mantelopes, who were changed into grazing ungulates but retained their human intelligence and sapience - they cannot talk or do anything in their new bodies but vividly recall their past forms, so they spend their centuries wandering the plains of their world, screaming and singing in despair.

This is a specific subset of the classic EldritchAbomination that is not a naturally-existing being, but was created artificially, usually through genetic engineering. That doesn't make them any less horrifying -- and in some cases, it could make them more so, since they are so different from the natural organisms used in their creation and proves how powerful their creator's capabilities really are. Their resemblance to natural organisms varies. In some cases, they'll just look like a warped version of the creatures they were derived from, putting them in AnimalisticAbomination territory. Other times, though, they'll bear absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to anything that ever evolved naturally.

Jurassic Park doesn't qualify per the specification "that to qualify for this trope, a creature cannot merely be a large, terrifying genetically engineered beast — it must also fit into the established definition of an Eldritch Abomination."

* On the lower end of the abomination scale are the dinosaurs from Franchise/JurassicPark: because ScienceMarchesOn, what were once reasonably accurate approximations of authentic dinosaurs resemble the fossil animals less and less. The hiatus between Film/JurassicParkIII and Film/JurassicWorld was so big that real-world paleontology had advanced far enough that the artistic liberties couldn't be ignored anymore and, to their credit, the franchise now acknowledges that [=InGen=] and Masrani's dinosaurs aren't "really" dinosaurs, mostly in viral marketing but Jurassic World has a standout scene where Henry Wu incredulously says to Simon Masrani that nothing in Jurassic World is natural and if they'd really gone for authentic dinosaurs then they would look very different. Alan Grant outright says in Jurassic Park III that "what John Hammond and [=InGen=] did was create genetically-engineered theme park monsters, nothing more and nothing less." It becomes more pronounced starting in Jurassic World with the introduction of deliberate hybrid dinosaurs to the franchise, namely the Indominus rex, a wholly-modern creation deliberately made to be huge, frightening, and awe-inspiring, the end result being a superpredator with what amounts to game-breaking abilities, basically human-level intelligence, and a sadistic streak a mile wide. It gets even worse in Film/JurassicWorldFallenKingdom with the Indoraptor, which has more than a few similarities to a xenomorph.
** It's implied in viral marketing for the Jurassic World films that the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park III has been retconned to being a more overt Genetic Abomination. This had more to do with new discoveries about the real fossil animal before Jurassic World came out which show that they had even less of a resemblance to the fictional one than some of the other dinosaurs.
** The animated spin-off series WesternAnimation/JurassicWorldCampCretaceous has its own example introduced in the third season: [[spoiler: the Scorpius rex, stated by Dr. Wu to be the world's very first hybrid dinosaur, even before Indominus, but one that was literally put on ice when it proved to be even more unstable than the Indominus. Along with whatever dinosaurs were used to create it, it was also hybridized with the scorpionfish (its namesake) and has poisonous spines that will stick into the bodies of anything they touch; one of the campers nearly dies after being stuck by a few of them. It's also quite hideous, which is part of why it wasn't acknowledged in the film, Masrani having decided that it was too ugly to be put on display on top of its violent tendencies; considering that Masrani still okayed the Indominus, that should tell you something about the Scorpius.]]

The reasons for the creation of such a being is variable. Often it's some sort of living weapon, but it's also common for them to be created for other purposes. Note that to qualify for this trope, a creature cannot merely be a large, terrifying genetically engineered beast -- it must also fit into the established definition of an EldritchAbomination. This entails being inconceivably horrific for the majority of minds that encounter it, but in a step-down from a natural abomination not inconceivable to the mortal mind in general, as it was a certain kind of thinking that brought it to existence after all.

In most cases, the traditional Eldritch Abomination is something completely outside human comprehension.
