* In ''GunXSword'', the first girl Van encounters in series is Wendy. The first girl he met ''chronologically'' would be Elena, assuming that dead women count. His devotion to Elena keeps him a CelibateHero throughout the series, but [[spoiler: the finale hints that Van and Wendy will end up as a couple, albeit after a [[JailBaitWait delay of a few years]].]]

* ''JadeEmpire'', if a male character sticks with Dawn Star.
* ''HarvestMoon'' - The first potential love interest in most games, the one that lives closest to your ranch, is usually the easiest to win over. They're relatively low-maintenance and will accept most inexpensive gifts from you.

* ''RangersApprentice'' -- Will and Alyss grew up alongside each other in the ward, and were, in fact, the first two children in there in their age group, and they end up [[spoiler:married]] in the end.

* Throughout the series, ''KimPossible'' and her {{sidekick}} Ron date or crush on a few other people, but in the end choose their oldest friend and partner in villain-fighting. It also works in relation to their {{backstory}}: (they were each other's first friend in pre-school) and the series itself (Kim tears into school and Ron is the first person she stops to talk to).

* Chuck and Blair on ''GossipGirl''. She's the first girl he ever had romantic feelings for and he never stops loving her, marrying her at the end of the series.

* Ephram and Amy in ''{{Everwood}}''. Also Andy and Nina for some extent, although at first there was no clear sign of UST between them.

* ''GilmoreGirls'' also has a "first boy wins" situation with Luke and Lorelai. But it's averted with Rory, Lane and Paris, as neither Dean nor Dave nor Tristan stick to the end.
* Both of the Fisher sons in ''SixFeetUnder'' eventually end up with the partners they are shown with in the pilot [[spoiler: 'til death do they part]]. The Fisher women, not so much: Claire and Ruth both end up in relationships with men not introduced until much later in the series.
* Played with in ''{{Glee}}''. Will's first girlfriend was his wife Terri. However, it isn't portrayed as a good thing, as they are in an unhappy marriage. However, Emma was the first romantic interest of Will seen.

* In ''CodenameKidsNextDoor'', [[ManicPixieDreamGirl Numbuh 3]] and [[BookDumb Numbuh 4]] each end up with their first person [[spoiler: which results in them being married to each other]]. [[TheHero Numbuh 1]], however, does not end up with Lizzie, [[MissionControl Numbuh 362]], or with anyone at all.

* ''{{Uncharted}}'': [[spoiler:Nate and Elena]] at the end of ''Among Thieves''.

** In ''[[VideoGame/StarOceanTillTheEndOfTime Till The End of Time]]'', Fayt starts the game with a girlfriend who later becomes a party member and remains the easiest to woo.

* In ''ElfenLied'', the first main character shown is Lucy (aka. Nyu), who Kohta does not actually end up with. He instead ends up with the first one he meets - [[KissingCousins his cousin Yuka]] (Note that's NOT as {{Squick}} in Japan as it is in many other parts of the world). Although Yuka's [[ClingyJealousGirl insecurity and paranoia]] could lead her to believe otherwise, the other girls who boarded with them (Mayu, Nana and Nozomi) never really had a chance in the UnwantedHarem, and most of them simply didn't really like Kohta in ''that'' way.

* ''TheFairlyOddparents'': Tootie was the first of Timmy's love interests to be introduced. The plot of the LiveActionAdaptation ''AFairlyOddMovieGrowUpTimmyTurner'' and [[WordOfGod some of Butch Hartman's posts/tweets/dialogue regarding the movie]] suggest that Timmy was destined to fall in love with her.

* In ''FateStayNight'', there are three potential winners, each of whom can be seen as the First Girl. Sakura is the first girl introduced in the main storyline and also the first girl to show obvious interest in Shirou (who is, of course, completely oblivious to it), Rin is the first female character introduced and the first we get to see interact with Shirou because the prologue is from her point of view, and Saber is the first girl seen on-screen and heard as the second image in the Novel is of her.

* ''CogaSuro'': Yeah, Steve and Jane end up married with kids. Who saw that coming?

* ''KevinAndKell'': Fiona and Rudy knew each other when they went to the same day care, but never got along. Then Fiona moved away, then back, and ''then'' they fell in love. Note that they didn't even remember being in the same day care until a former teacher told them about it.

* In GeneralProtectionFault, Nick, who has never been in a relationship before, meets Ki early on in his time at GPF, and they get married in spite of Trudy's attempts to get Nick for himself (and the fact that he seriously considers her for a time).
* DubiousCompany's Tiren ''[[SubvertedTrope would have]]'' realized she was this, had she not been [[BloodKnight preoccupied]] by [[AlphaBitch Mary and Sue]] [[ManipulativeBitch goading]] her into a catfight with Sakura. The result lead her and Walter back to {{UST}} territory.
* Subverted--probably intentionally, given Jeph Jacques' anime and manga fandom--in QuestionableContent. Marten sees Faye in the third strip of the comic, actually talks to her in the fourth, and they've moved in together by strip 22 (not like that; she burned her apartment down making toast). 500 strips of wacky hijinks later, everyone (including the audience) is getting annoyed at how Marten and Faye haven't gotten together despite the obvious attraction. [[WhamEpisode Faye then has a talk with Marten about why.]] [[spoiler: She watched her father kill himself with a gunshot to the head and has yet to recover from the trauma.]]

** The trend continues in ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'', [[spoiler: with Mako ultimately realizing that he was in love with Korra, who he met first in episode two, rather than Asami, who he met and started dating in episode four.]] Averted with Korra herself, however; she meets Mako's brother Bolin first, but never returns his romantic interest. Once he got over his initial heartbreak, he seemed to handle it fairly well. [[spoiler: ... And then, at the end of the second season, [[ShipSinking Mako and Korra break up]] and decide to be JustFriends.]]
*** Hilariously (in a meta-sense), the GrandFinale reveals that the "First Girl" did win. [[spoiler:Asami, the first girl her age that Korra met in Republic City, is the one who gets together with Korra in the end.]]

* Yet another male example is in the [[Earth's Children]] series by Jean Auel. The female protagonist, Ayla, is told by her adoptive mother in the first book to leave the Clan of the Cave Bear and find her own kind (referred to by the Clan as the "Others"); more specifically, her dying mother tells her she must find a mate from among her own kind. In the second book, she meets Jondalar, who is not only a man of the Others, but the first "Other" she has met since she lost her family and got amnesia twelve years earlier. They fall in love by the end of the second book, and even though several more men fall in love with Ayla over the rest of the series, Ayla and Jondalar stay together, convinced [[RedStringOfFate they were destined to be together]].

* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'': Souken Ishida's wife set up an ArrangedMarriage between her son Ryuuken and her niece [[spoiler: Masaki Kurosaki]]. She had also assigned [[NinjaMaid Kanae]] [[YamatoNadeshiko Katagiri]] to Ryuuken as his personal bodyguard when Kanae and Ryuuken were both very [[ChildhoodFriendRomance young children]]. Ryuuken and his cousin were [[BlueBlood socially compatible]] but not [[NoSparks romantically compatible]] whereas Ryuuken and Kanae had a lot of UnresolvedSexualTension but were [[UptownGuy socially incompatible]]. When the viability of the ArrangedMarriage is ruined [[spoiler:by Aizen]] and Ryuuken's cousin gets HappilyMarried to [[spoiler: Isshin Shiba [[TheMaidenNameDebate aka Isshin Kurosaki]] ]], [[BroodingBoyGentleGirl Ryuuken]] and [[TheLostLenore Kanae]] are able to MarryForLove.

* ''KimagureOrangeRoad'': Kyosuke meets Madoka long before Hikaru's in the picture.

*** Hilariously (in a meta-sense), the GrandFinale reveals that the "First Girl" did win. [[spoiler:Asami, the first girl her age that Korra met in Republic City, is the one who gets together with Korra in the end]].

* In ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', Sakura Haruno is introduced to reader as {{Love Interest}} of the titular character in Chapter 3. The other potential love interest Hinata Hyuuga wasn't introduced to series until manga's second arc. [[spoiler:In the DistantFinale it's Hinata who got to be with the hero,]] but in ''[[Anime/Naruto7TheLast The Last: Naruto The Movie]]'' [[spoiler: we learn that she met him at the very beginning of their Academy days, making Hinata the FirstGirlAfterAll.]]

* In ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', the two main contenders for "winning" the title character both had differing claims to being the "first" girl - so while this would have inevitably been played straight by the letter, it was averted in spirit (There's no point to "first girl wins" if it happens ''whichever'' girl wins). One contender is the first girl to be introduced in the ''manga'' and the first to have the main character express interest in ''her'' in both media; the other is the first to express interest in ''him'' and gets a just-as-early and more pronounced introduction, but only in the ''anime''. One of them eventually does win (the second one), and the tie-in movie seems set to RetCon her as FirstGirlAfterAll.

* ''Manga/{{Evangelion 303}}'': Asuka is the first girl that shows up in the histoyr, and the first girl that Shinji meets when he arrives to the base. They got together.

* In the movie adaptation of ''Film/{{Spider-Man}}'', Peter has a crush on Mary Jane since long before boys are even supposed to like girls, and only ever looks at any other girl when he suddenly had the urge to hurt her (and even then only when he's been corrupted by an alien.)
** Played straight in the ''Ultimate'' comics where Peter and Mary Jane are childhood friends and fellow book worms.
* [[Comicbook/{{X-Men}} Jean]] was Scott's first love... until [[HeroicSacrifice she died]]. And then [[BackFromTheDead she came back]]. And ''then'', later, they got [[HappilyMarried married]]. For [[ComicBookTime a few years]], anyway, before [[RichBitch Emma Frost]] showed up... but [[FanonDiscontinuity they are STILL]] HappilyMarried to a lot of fans.
