* In ''Videogame/AssassinsCreedOdyssey'' one sidequest involves a blind beggar who asks the Misthios for stories about the various landmarks around Greece in exchange for telling stories of his past. Eventually, he reveals himself to be Artaxerxes I, the son of Xerxes I and the former ruler of Persia who was forced into exile after surviving an assassination attempt. He then notes how as the Misthios is the grandson of King Leonidas of Sparta they're obligated by familial honor to avenge their ancestor. When assassins sent from Persia arrive to finish the job, the Misthios has the choice of either letting them do it or defending Artaxerxes.
