* Kirby, King Dedede, and Wario can eat explosive items in ''SuperSmashBros Brawl'', though that will hurt them.
** This is actually quite useful, depending on the situation. On one hand, a swallowed bomb does MUCH less damage and ZERO knockback versus being hit by it, but on the other, it usually leaves the character open for several seconds. However, when Wario Chomps a bomb, it actually deals damage to anyone near him, even causing enough knockback to KO at medium percentages. It will definitely make noobs think twice about Kirbycide, however.

* In the early ''HomestarRunner'' animation "Marshmallow's Last Stand", Strong Bad actually shoves a bomb into Homestar Runner's mouth during a fight and kicking him in the abdomen. Homestar, as a result of the bomb exploding inside his stomach, as well as the fact that he ate too many marshmallows earlier in the animation, actually pukes on Strong Bad, and as a result he wins the fight.
