Tweaking the description, which should now be specifically about diguise. Ho Yay is tangential at best, Pantomime seemingly unrelated, and more CrossCastRole than disguise. The \"pregnant woman\" bit is tangential and overly specific at the same time (the \"sympathy belt\" bit isn\'t usually part of a DISGUISE).

Any scenario where a male character dresses as a woman, generally played for laughs instead of [[BlackLikeMe drama]], and occasionally resulting in AnAesop. This tends to be a PaperThinDisguise, since he tends to look like an Amazon at best and an overdone DragQueen at worst, and yet everyone is fooled. There's almost always a scene where another male character not only falls for the disguise, but [[AttractiveBentGender finds the disguised party attractive]], especially if they're normally ugly or at least HollywoodHomely.

Sometimes it's not just a woman, but a pregnant woman. The male usually ends up wearing a 'sympathy belt' to learn his lesson after waving off his wife's troubles.

See also HoYay, {{Pantomime}}.

The male-to-female WholesomeCrossdresser. Contrast with SweetPollyOliver: whereas male crossdressing usually follows the RuleOfFunny, female crossdressing usually follows the RuleOfDrama.
