* Harold Finch from PersonOfInterest has been kidnapped in all three season finales so far, and has been held hostage a few times in between. In the most recent kidnapping he was kidnapped a fourth time FROM the original kidnapper. It's justified though since Harold is "the most important man in the world", since he is the man who made The Machine, and thus is wanted by a LOT of people.

* Literature/TheSharingKnife: Dag, in a rare combination with being the hero and protagonist. Before the books started, he lost his left hand. In book 1, he broke his right arm. In book 2, he was ground-ripped by a malice and stabbed in the thigh by Fawn. In book 4, he got a badly sprained ankle and was stuck up on a cliff ledge.

** Of course, XANA's actual Designated Victim is Aelita, but he always has a different reason:
*** First Season: Aelita is the only one who can deactivate the towers, so killing her would make him unstoppable.
*** Second Season: He required her memories to use a program to escape Lyoko.
*** Third Season: He needed her to input the "Code: XANA" program in order to destroy Lyoko. (He usually used DemonicPossession here.)
*** Fourth Season: He used her [[spoiler:as bait to lure Franz Hopper out of hiding. Fortunately, the heroes caught on quickly after they realized this was his goal.]]

** Maybe partially justified, as Yumi is the CoolBigSis figure of the team, the most mature of the group, Ulrich's crush (and nearly as good at fighting as him), the least enthousiastic about fighting XANA (she was reluctant to do it in the pilote, and was the most willing to shut down the computer in season 4 finale) and an isolated target due to her living with her parents whereas the others are all pensionnaries at Kadic. This not only makes a MUCH easier target than the others, but also mean something happening to her will easily zap the moral of most of her teammates. Considering XANA is [[MagnificentBastard extremely skilled at scheming]] [[ManipulativeBastard and manipulating people]], this would make sense.
