He and Bruce trained under the same teachers and developed a friendship that turned into a rivalry when Ghost-Maker learned Bruce was training to be a vigilante to avenge his parents as opposed to doing it for the art like Ghost-Maker was. However, while Ghost-Maker is often antagonistic and critical of Bruce, the two have a mutual respect for each other. Ghost-Maker may not have qualms about killing, but he's not stupid or unreasonable, and is willing to make compromises and restrain himself for Batman's sake.

* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'': Adam Taurus' sword is a crimson red katana, his semblance is [[spoiler:described as being a stronger version of Yang's, similar to the original and his mech]], he wears a mask or bandana until a big unmasking reveals [[spoiler:that his left eye has been branded by anti-Faunus racists]], and he has a relationship with the main cast in the form of [[spoiler:Blake, who he was a mentor and lover of]]. The only exception to the typical Char Clone is Adam's red hair instead of blond hair. Similarly to another clone, he was the leader of [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing the White Fang.]]

* ''ComicBook/{{Robin}}'': Red Hood is Franchise/{{Batman}}'s crime-fighting rival who comes off of as a WellIntentionedExtremist due to his utter disdain for Batman's [[ThouShaltNotKill one rule]]. His deadlier fighting style and namesake CoolHelmet gives him a Char look.

* ''Series/PowerRangersLightspeedRescue'': [[SixthRanger Ryan Mitchell]] has blonde hair and is the long-lost brother of one of the Rangers, Dana Mitchell. He was presumed dead when Dana was a child but was in fact abducted by the demons who raised him to believe his family had abandoned him, causing him to hate humanity. After learning the truth, he pulls a HeelFaceTurn and sides with the Rangers.

* Gray Fox of VideoGame/MetalGear hits different points in the series. In ''MetalGear2SolidSnake'', he is TheRival to Solid Snake, but they were completely inpersonal with each other. He was also TheMentor to Snake during the Outer Heaven uprising (at least in dialogue), and in ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'', his sister Naomi Hunter, works for the heroes (though not in a noble way). He becomes Snake's mentor again during ''[=MGS=]'' in helping the latter during his mission.

** ''Anime/TenchiMuyoWarOnGeminar'': Dagmyer is a handsome blond who wears a mask in the first episode, an inspiring leader and idealist fighting against the system, a ManipulativeBastard. He's hopelessly outmatched by his [[TheRival rival]], [[TheAce Kenshi.]]

* ''Manga/VenusWars'': Kurtz is blond, military, glasses wearing, said to be gay, and voiced by Ikeda himself!

** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemShadowDragonAndTheBladeOfLight'' and ''VideoGame/FireEmblemMysteryOfTheEmblem'': Camus is a blond-haired, high-skill anti-villain. In the the third game, Sirius, a masked, blond-haired, high-skill hero who you have totally never met before joins your party. Sounds familiar? Notably, Camus himself has spawn many clones that the fandom call the "Camus archetype" (although only [[VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar Eldigan and Ares]] are direct Char clones, even though neither of them wear masks). They typically fall under "MyCountryRightOrWrong", and sadly are usually killed off.

* ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel'' has Crow Armbrust who is the rival to TheHero Rean. Crow is a more skilled pilot than Rean who he trounces almost every time he fights until Rean builds enough experience to actually beat him, he's the leader of a terrorist group to assassinate the chancellor for inadvertently killing his grandfather, and does wear a mask when he's assuming the disguise "C". He also dispenses advice to Rean so he does have some of Char's "Quattro Bajeena" persona.

* "Anime/Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS" has Ryoken Kogami who poses as Revolver with the rival factor stemming from 0079 and WellIntentionedExtremist status from CCA including a red color scheme. Most of his Topologic monsters have a mono eyed scheme similar to Char's Zeon mobile suits and taking into account that his ace Borreload Dragon is also colored red that first made it's appearance giving trouble to Playmaker just as how Char's Zaku II did to Amuro. Once Ryoken shows more of his monsters, Borrelsword is this one including Sazabi with the sword shaped horn and body design. Ryoken following his father's footsteps parallels how Char does to his father too.

* ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry'' features Dante who wears a red BadassLongcoat and like how Char has a red color scheme, both are famed and feared throughout their foe's communities. In 4 and 5 was when Dante takes cues from Char's Zeta personality while at the same time meshing 0079 into the mix forming a rivalry/mentorship with the protagonist of the game. Just as how Char followed his father's footsteps, Dante did his for his deceased father Sparda and did not go into the path of CCA unlike his brother.

** ''VideoGame/MegaManStarForce'':
*** Rogue or Solo who is Geo's rival has most of Char's rival status though in the beginning he had the ''Char's Counterattack'' like ambitions that involve a giant colony to wipe out humanity for the preservation of his deceased civilization from the start only to drop it in favor of being the ally to the protagonist. Once holding the Indie Proof and the Laplance Blade allows him to grow powerful identical to how fast Char's mobile suits are. Even Rogue's visor is akin to Char's shades from Zeta.
*** Acid Ace who was modeled after previous Protoman and Zero expies including their EXE incarnations is this one as BigBrotherMentor of the protagonist and the history with the female antagonist qualifies them for the "Zeta" counterpart. After using Transcode does his appearance regarding his face excluding his mouth being covered is akin to Char Aznable's mask and looks. Once Finalized does he takes cues from Char's Mobile Suits that after passing 99.9% is akin to the majority of Char's mobile suits moving twice the speed. Though Acid Ace bears resemblance to the Union Flag original in his regular appearance and custom in his Finalized Form from MobileSuitGundam00.
*** Jack Corvus and Queen Tia shares most of ''Char's Counterattack'' personality and ambitions to reshape the world by hurling the comet towards the Earth while at the same time having a tragic background that described them in their aristocratic lives. Jack on the other hand shares most of Char's rivalry with the protagonist and his appearance that includes a shaded visor with wings that form like a cape. Tia who has a history with BigBrotherMentor character is similar to Haman Karn from [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam]]but still has Char's qualities who is an exceptionally skilled fighter who first held back but fought at full power akin to Char fighting with his mobile suits twice the speed. Also like Jack, Tia has shades akin to Char too.

Joker first appears to be a normal Wizard but once Finalized allows his powers to become way more stronger than his average strength parallel to how quick Char's mobile suits are with the red color schematic. After when Joker kills Luna does he adds a factor of ''Char's Counterattack'' personality but with the SocialDarwinist status stating that taking her life removed the stain from the Earth brings vibe of Char's intention to judge humanity.
*** Apollo Flame has Char's red color theme and his grudge against Megaman is akin to Char's against Amuro and like Char, Apollo Flame follows his creator's will just as Char followed his father's will. Even Apollo Flame wiping out humanity is pretty much the bleaker version of Char's CCA personality minus WellIntentionedExtremist status in favor of his SocialDarwinist personality.

*** Bass.EXE in all of his incarnations can qualify for this trope consisting of his rivalry with the protagonist and ''Char's Counterattack'' like ambitions but in a much darker fashion to wipe out humanity for his existence. Like how Char overcame Amuro due to how fast he was, Bass was already stronger than Megaman from the start ending his few consecuvite battles in victory before Megaman turns the tide. Even though not officially shown in the games and anime but in the manga, Bass had the chance to utilize Beast Out with Falzar donning a red scheme color and it was said that using a Beast Out makes the abilities of the user stronger therefore allowing Bass to take cues from Char's mobile suits that take twice the speed.

*** Duo.EXE from ''[[VideoGame/MegaManBattleNetwork4RedSunAndBlueMoon MMBN4]]'' shares most of Char's CCA personality upon throwing the comet upon Earth due to humanity continuing to defile it but as an extraterrestrial threat. When he uses God's Anger does he makes a nod to Char's mobile suit's red scheme.
*** Colonel.EXE from ''[[VideoGame/MegaManBattleNetwork5TeamColonelAndTeamProtoMan MMBN5]]'' is the AloofBigBrother of a character who is affiliated with the heroes (though his version of Iris doesn't appear until [[VideoGame/MegaManBattleNetwork6CybeastGregarAndCybeastFalzar the following game]]), shares a rivalry with both [=ProtoMan=] and [=MegaMan=], has a mentor relationship with the protagonist not unlike Quattro in ''Zeta'', and ultimately shares the same fate as Char in the end (though framed unambiguously as a HeroicSacrifice). His other traits (following Wily's command and former hero status, both in ''6'') and physical appearance (predominately black color scheme, BadassCape, LaserBlade), however, ultimately make him more of a DarthVaderClone in practice.

* Marco Inaros of ''Franchise/TheExpanse'' has too many similarities to ''CCA''-era Char to be a coincidence, being a VisionaryVillain who orders a massive asteroid attack on Earth in retaliation for their mistreatment of the space colonies while giving dramatic speeches about those born in space being the future of humanity who alone can rise above the mistakes of the past. This was not lost on the TV series' costuming department, who saw fit to give him an outfit with a giant golden eagle on the front invoking the winged motifs typical of Zeon military dress.
