Complete with DeadpanSnarker 'tude, which seems ''even more adorable'' when what is in effect a human version of a Skipper doll saying it. Oh yeah, and she's a warrior who would shame the 300, and will ''rock your face'' (literally... like materialize a rock and throw it at your face) if you piss her off.

* Most thunder gods fall into this trope, making it OlderThanDirt. Thor, Perun, and Susano no Mikoto fit the mold very well. Zeus is a BoisterousBruiser that got married -- I mean, his idea of subtlety is turning his paramour into a conspicuous white heifer. Thunder gods are are also the head of their pantheon tend to have been BoisterousBruisers before they obtained some kind of (frequently literal) font of wisdom.

* Thor of NorseMythology.
** Aegir has a bit of this too, though not quite to the same degree. He lives in a giant feasthall at the bottom of the sea and spends all his time entertaining the souls of drowned sailors.

This is more obvious in the Unlimited Blade Works route, where he acts like [[StealthPun the Lancer]] [[TheLancer when he temporarily joins Shirou]], and likes teasing. ''Fate/Hollow Ataraxia'' also adds up much more qualities of Boisterous Bruiser in him.
* As affable as he is rough-and-ready, [[StuffBlowingUp Heavy Weapons Expert]] Gus Tarballs from ''Jagged Alliance 2'' definitely qualifies.

* The Jagerkin from ''GirlGenius''. They're an entire '''race''' of Boisterous Bruisers! Well, except for Vole, and he doesn't count -- they kicked him out.

A common character in [[{{RPG}} [=RPGs=]]] and action shows, the Boisterous Bruiser is a fun guy to be around. He will often be part of an ensemble and will most likely be TheBigGuy in a FiveManBand, although he tends to be a bit more boisterous than the usual archetype who plays that role. If he's not TheIdiotFromOsaka, he will at least tend to act bumpkin-ish and crude. If he's [[DumbMuscle as dumb as he is big]], he will at least have had enough life experience to dispense sage and world-wise advice to the KidHero whenever he needs it. He (and this character is [[AlwaysMale almost always a "he"]], though in exceptionally rare cases can be a "she") will usually not be part of a formal army (as he hates authority, unless he's serving under the Kid Hero). Instead, he'll often be a mercenary-for-hire or the leader of a band of thieves. Or the leader of a band of pirates. Or the leader of a [[RagTagBunchOfMisfits rag-tag rebel army]]. Or all four at once. If he's an {{anime}} character, he will inevitably have a KansaiRegionalAccent, and will often be HotBlooded. He's like a really obnoxious but likable [[TheAragorn Aragorn]]. He's almost always a LargeHam.

** In "The Ember Island Players", where the gang's adventures are told in the form of a stage play cobbled together from sketchy testimony, Toph is re-imagined as a huge, muscular male who "sees" by yelling really loudly at regular intervals. Unlike her friends and their characters, she is delighted with this.

** Tormund Giantsbane, an incredibly stocky old veteran who spins tales as tall as they are ribald, and still kicks ass alongside the younger raiders.

*''GateKeepers'' brings us Choutarou "Bancho" Banba, a man so endearingly HotBlooded (and genuinely powerful) that he somehow makes it into AEGIS without displaying any overt Gate Keeper abilities. Or being able to keep the "Gate Keeper" terminology straight. All but unchallenged as the most fun character in the series.

*Luke Cage aka Power Man never avoids a fight and loves to punctuate every punch with a little trash talk.
