* Hector of Ostia is portrayed as a potential Papa Wolf in his B support with Eliwood in ''FireEmblem 7'', where he tells his best friend about a prophetic dream involving his [[KidFromTheFuture still unborn daughter]] and, as he mentions a redheaded boy who takes her away in the dream, he isn't very pleased to have his "little girl" courted by the other kid. [[spoiler:Too bad Hector didn't get to be a proper Papa Wolf for Lilina, since he's [[PlotlineDeath killed off early]] in ''Fuuin''. His FamousLastWords are a plea for Roy, Eliwood's son and the "redheaded boy" from the dream, to protect her.]].

* ''[[FireEmblemJugdral Fire Emblem: Thracia 776]]'' has the [[AnAxeToGrind Axe Knight]] Hicks, who refuses to join Leaf's army if you don't rescue the children that have been kidnapped [[spoiler: for the child hunts]], including his son Maphy. If you do, however, he will join the group without hesitation.

* Although his relationship with Rue is never defined, Thresh is one towards her in ''TheHungerGames''. When [[spoiler: he overhears Clove taunting Katniss about Rue's death]], his BerserkButton is pressed, actually breaks his [[TheStoic calm demeanor]] and ''shouts'' furiously and it didn't go well for [[spoiler: Clove]].

* [[TheAuthority Apollo and Midnighter]] are like this with their adopted daughter Jenny (even though, being [[GooGooGodlike vastly more powerful than either of them]], she can take care of herself pretty well). Midnighter deserves special mention, however, for being like this with [[FriendToAllChildren all kids]].

** And in ''[[TransformersDarkOfTheMoon Dark of the Moon]]'', after [[spoiler: Sentinel Prime, Optimus's father figure and teacher, led an invasion that enslaved and murdered MILLIONS of innocent civilians in Chicago]], Optimus would shoot said person execution style. The line he uttered as he saw [[spoiler: the destruction of Chicago]] was chilling.

** Whenever Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger plays a father in any of his action flicks, expect some ''serious'' PapaWolf action to go down if the bad guys mess with his kids. Case in point: ''TrueLies'' -- when the BigBad kidnaps Harry Tasker's daughter, Harry goes after him with a fucking ''Harrier jet fighter.'' And sends the BigBad on a missile ride.

** The Governator doesn't even ''need'' to play a father, just having [[TeamDad a character who's got to take care of children or teens]] is enough. ''KindergartenCop'' has a particularly emotional scene where his character, a police detective posing as a [[BadassTeacher a school teacher]], dishes out a brutal beating to an abusive father of an emotionally damaged student. "You hit the kid, I hit ''you''," indeed.
** Parodied in ''LastActionHero'', where the movie from which Arnold's cop character is lifted includes a face-off with the BigBad who abducted his kid.

* Liam Neeson's character in ''{{Nell}}'', who winds up very protective of the borderline WildChild (wild adult, by then) he and another doctor have been observing since her mother's death. A reporter who sneaks up trying to get a picture of the rumored "wild woman" gets thrown down the front steps of Nell's cabin and his camera broken for his troubles. Neeson's character does admit he overreacted, only to chase the reporter away when the idiot keeps asking questions.

* Big Chris in ''LockStockAndTwoSmokingBarrels''. Made the mistake of threatening his son, Little Chris? Big Chris is going to have another SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome with a car door.

** ''Temple of Doom'' begs to differ. Why was he captured by the villains? Because he wanted to protect a helpless child from ''being whipped to death'', plus proceeding to fight ''the villain's army'' to free the hundreds of slave children, and giving up the mystical stones that would have made him a millionaire so the village they return to would be one filled with life and hope. Easily the '''single''' most heroic Papa Wolf performance for Harrison Ford.

** What pushed him into agreeing to help look for the Grail (though, given what happens [[TheMole with the man who gives him the news]], he might not necessarily have had a choice) - finding his dad. He was willing to put a guy through a ship's propeller, and if the man wasn't a soft-core KnightTemplar...

* The premise of ''TheLastHouseOnTheLeft'' is about a group of people who get trapped inside a house with a PapaWolf and a MamaBear after they brutalize and rape the couple's daughter. Three guesses as to what happens next.

* The cartoon version of WesternAnimation/{{Beetlejuice}} is typically an easy-going prankster whose main interest is driving the rest of the Neitherworld crazy. But on those rare occasions when Lydia is in serious danger, Beetlejuice will show just how he got the title of Ghost With The Most. Insulting or humiliating Lydia is also a bad idea, as [[AlphaBitch Claire Brewster]] found out the hard way on more than one occasion.

* ''WesternAnimation/TotalDramaIsland'': BigFun Owen is usually happy and cheerful at all times, but his BerserkButton is immediately activated whenever someone threatens Noah or Izzy. His PapaBear mode is one of the few things that managed to [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap save him from the Scrappy heap]].

* Ant-Man II from ''[[WesternAnimation/AvengersEarthsMightiestHeroes The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes]]'' mainly uses his powers and abilities to ensure the safety and well-being of his young daughter. In the episode in which he officially became the new Ant-Man, he punished Crossfire for kidnapping her by [[spoiler: kicking him in the face, then covering him in ants]].

* Just ''{{t|emptingFate}}ry'' and hurt a kid in front of CaptainHarlock.

* Otaru from ''Anime/SaberMarionetteJ'' to X. [[spoiler:Granted, he was a father for only episode and half, but he surely proved to be quite a PapaWolf!]]

* Tony Stark becomes this to his adopted son Harry in the ''HarryPotter''/''IronMan'' crossover fanfic ''Fanfic/HarryPotterAndTheInvincibleTechnomage''. It is also demonstrated that many of the heroes feel this way toward their allies' children.

** Arthur Weasley, while usually overshadowed by his MamaBear wife, in ''[[HarryPotter/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows Deathly Hallows]]'', threatened Kingsley Shacklebolt (trained Auror, later takes on ''freakin' Voldemort'') to his face when he heard that one of his sons had been badly injured and Kingsley was trying to question him.

* Harry Mason from ''SilentHill''. Generally, he's a NonActionGuy (he has to be shown how to use a gun by ActionGirl cop Cybil) but when his [[ArcWords little girl, short, with black hair, just turned seven last month]] is in danger, he'll go ToHellAndBack, blunder through a TownWithADarkSecret, and [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu kill]] an EldritchAbomination to save her.
** ''SilentHill3'' further reveals that Harry ''killed'' a cultist that came after his beloved daughter.
** Murphy Pendleton of SilentHillDownpour is a deconstruction. [[spoiler:His son was murdered]], and seeking revenge has only made things worse. He's in prison, his wife has left him due to very understandable reasons, [[spoiler:and the deal he made with Sewell has him having to kill Coleridge. Even if Murphy [[MultipleEndings doesn't kill him]], Coleridge's death will still haunt him]].

* Woe betide anyone [[TooDumbToLive stupid enough]] to try and harm {{Godzilla}}'s son. Not even a GiantSpider can get away with it. There's a reason that one film is called ''Godzilla's Revenge''.
** This is especially evident in the film ''GodzillaVsDestoroyah'' in which the death of his son, killed by Destoroyah himself, caused Godzilla to go into a [[UnstoppableRage emotional ragefest]] and attack Destoroyah out of pure unrestrained fury.

** Likewise, there's the American ''{{Godzilla}}'' who is both a Papa Wolf AND Mama Bear (don't ask).

* LukeCageHeroForHire: NormanOsborn learned the hard way to not endanger Luke Cage's girlfriend (now wife) [[ComicBook/{{Alias}} Jessica]] and their (then unborn) daughter - Luke beat the tar out of him in public, not caring if his already revealed identity took a nosedive in regards to reputation.

*** And treecats as a whole can be this when one of their own is threatened. One NotSoHarmless treecat outnumbers six gunmen; when a hexapuma, an apex predator from the treecats' homeworld, corners one 'cat and the human he'd adopted, his clan's answer to his [[GondorCallsForAid distress call]] is a ZergRush which turns that predator into hamburger. In ''Mission of Honor'', [[spoiler:the [[BigBad Mesan Alignment]] kills a treecat ''clan'' via a ColonyDrop. [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge The other treecat clans are strongly hinting they want in on the counterattack.]]]]

* In ''Series/TheOffice'' Stanley goes after Ryan pretty hard when he thinks he may be "sniffing around" his daughter.

* [[spoiler:Minato Namikaze aka the Fourth Hokage]] from ''{{Naruto}}''. In fact, the whole deal with [[spoiler:the Kyuubi]] has just recently been revealed as the struggle between him and [[spoiler:Madara Uchiha, with Madara using Minato's love for his [[BattleCouple wife/partner]] Kushina (then-host of the Nine-tailed fox) and their newborn son Naruto (future host of the same Fox) for his advantage. [[HeroicSacrifice And we already know]] [[ThanatosGambit how THAT ended]]...]]

* Though it's too little and too late to do any good, [[spoiler:Will's father Bootstrap Bill Turner]] in ''PiratesOfTheCaribbean'' snaps out of his brainwashing, and attacks Davy Jones in a moment of Papa Wolf fury.
** Captain Teague shoots the solider who was going to shoot Jack in the 4th film.
* Major Henry West from ''TwentyEightDaysLater'' utterly snaps after his men are killed by Jim.

* {{Asura|sWrath}} was cast down by his fellow gods and sealed away for some 12,000 years. Now that's enough to piss him off, but when he finds out they're using his daughter to amplify their power, [[UnstoppableRage it's time to kick some heavenly, planetary-sized ass.]]

* Should you happen to be in a coma, whether you're listening to ''LifeOnMars'' or ''AshesToAshes'' don't mess with anyone under Gene Hunt's protection. Don't.

* The protagonist of ''VideoGame/NieR'' Gestalt is a man determined to go to any lengths to find a cure for the painful disease afflicting his daughter Yonah. He also displays similar tendencies towards the group he makes his TrueCompanions.

* {{Persona 4}} has been known to elicit this response in the [[VideoGameCaringPotential player]] regarding the [[HelloInsertNameHere Main Character's]] little cousin, Nanako. [[spoiler: In a really cruel subversion, it can easily get you ''the BAD Ending''.]]
* Prototype2 starts off with a pretty bleak setting: The wife and daughter of Ex-Marine James Heller has been killed by the Mercer virus. The prologue shows just how much Heller is willing to go through to, just to get a [[IncrediblyLamePun stab]] at the source behind it. Give him [[LovecraftianSuperpower god-like powers]], and there is no end to his [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge destructive rampage]].

* In StreetFighterXTekken, [[BadAss Sagat]] is ''pissed off'' when a young boy from a Thai village tells him that his little sister, a girl that Sagat once rescued, has disappeared again. Then, Dhalsim appears in front of him and tells him that several children from his village have also vanished. The two fighters go into full PapaWolf mode, so they decide to team up to both rescue the abducted children and go to the Antartica, where [[MacGuffin the Pandora box]] is located.

* Similarly, [[AProtagonistIsRyu Ryu]] has a big PapaWolf moment towards [[HeroWorshipper Sakura]] in StreetFighterAlpha 3, where [[spoiler: Sakura pulling a GoThroughMe to protect him from Bison and being injured as a result]] is one of the triggers that let him [[spoiler: shake off Bison's Psycho Power-based {{brainwashing}}.]] When this happens, an absolutely pissed off Ryu goes to [[spoiler: Bison]] and ''one-shots him.''
* The Engineer from VideoGame/TeamFortress2 (related to his Sentries). His voice sounds more distressed when a Sentry is destroyed than any other building. If the Engineer is using a Frontier Justice, he gets two [[CriticalHit Revenge Crits]] for every time the Sentry got a kill and one for every assist kill. He also says "Start prayin', boy!" when that happens.
* Lee Everett and Kenny from VideoGame/TheWalkingDead towards Clementine and Kenny Jr./Duck, respectively. Kenny will just barely hesitate to kick your ass if you threaten his son, [[spoiler: he actually beat a guy to death when said guy grabbed Duck, though it was never made clear whether the man was or was not a zombie]]. While Lee's actions depends on the player, it is safe to assume that on default he would be a nice guy and ready to beat the shit out of anyone for even thinking of hurting Clem.

* DaisyOwl: Mr. Owl is a PapaWolf, despite being an owl. He's willing to go up against NASA armed only with a bear if it means saving his kids.

* {{Goblins}} has Pan, a blind ogre, fulfilling this role for Yala, a mute, disabled kobold who acts as his 'pilot'. Threatening Yala while Pan is nearby is a good way to get yourself brutalised, as the dwarf in [[http://www.goblinscomic.com/03312009/ this strip]] finds out to his cost.
* Even though Iratu and Sakido are demons, when they are put in danger Darius, the angel from SlightlyDamned, exemplifies this trope [[http://www.sdamned.com/2008/12/12202008/ in spades.]]

* WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall: Linkara [[http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5716/llspapawolfmoment.jpg has been known to do this]] for MarzGurl.

* ChakonaSpace: Due to being {{Hermaphrodite}}s, Chakats get to be this as well as MamaBear.

* WebAnimation/HomestarRunner: Strong Mad gets like this when his best friend, The Cheat, is physically abused.

But as ''Unwound Future'' clearly shows us, villains who are stupid enough to [[spoiler:kidnap his adopted daughter]] will find themselves pursued by a relentless {{Determinator}} who has no problem violating the laws of ''physics'' if that's what it takes to get her back.

* [[spoiler:Dr. Tenma]] in the 2009 ''Film/AstroBoy'' film. After he [[spoiler:[[HeelFaceTurn accepts Astro for who he is]], it's made clear that he's willing to face the military, its angry Commander in Chief, and its scary indestructible robot to protect his boy. Makes you wonder what would happen if you threatened Astro while there was a chance Dad might get his hands on you.]]

** By the time of [[LegacyOfTheForce a civil war between Corellia and what used to be the New Republic]], Wedge Antilles is [[BadassGrandpa about sixty years old]] and has a pair of twenty-something daughters, Syal and Myri. Myri gets to stay with him on the Corellian side, where he spends about half of the series, but Syal is on the other side. And Wedge respects this, although it saddens him. [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments He's very close to his daughters]], and very protective of them.
