* One of signature characters from ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'', Ahsoka Tano, gets her name frequently misspelled as ''Ashoka''. It's not farfecthed to get such a mistake, as Hindu emperor [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashoka Ashoka the Great]] was among several inspirations of hers.

* ''WesternAnimation/KampKoral'': The series can't seem to get down if Lady Upturn's butler is named Regigille or Regigille''d''. The captions refer to him as "Regigille" in earlier episodes, but in later ones, it's pronounced "Regigilled".

*** Despite Apple Bloom's name hardly ever being spelled as Applebloom, many fans use the latter spelling.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheMysteriesOfAlfredHedgehog'': Sources, be they reuploads on Website/YouTube, the show's wiki, or even TV Tropes ourselves, cannot agree on whether Alfred's sister's name is spelled Lily, Lili, or Lilly. The tie-in game confirms that the first spelling, Lily, is the correct spelling.

* Filburt the turtle was credited as "Filbert" during the first season of ''WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife'', whne he was mostly a recurring extra rather than Rocko's friend.

** Demolishor (first introduced in ''Armada'') is occasionally misspelt 'Demolisher".
** Listing the ways "Scorponok" has been misspelt would take longer than listing different versions of the character.

** Not to mention Tarantul'''u'''s/Tarantul'''a'''s from ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars''. The former spelling is the most recently used since "Tarantulas" [[NoPronunciationGuide can be pronounced as the plural of "tarantula"]] and thus couldn't be trademarked.

* Hayley Smith of ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDad'' is frequently subject to this, both by fans and within the show itself along with source material. "Haley" and "Hailey" are common misspellings.

* In the Croation version of ''WesternAnimation/{{Billy}}'', the title character's name was "Bili", but only on the back of the DVD.

* ''WesternAnimation/SuperWhy'': Whyatt's name is sometimes misspelled as "Wyatt", where it should be "Whyatt". With an "h".

** The name of Discord's species, "draconequus", has had its spelling confirmed by the trading cards, by Hasbro's ''Franchise/MyLittlePony'' Website/{{Twitter}} account, and by show creator Creator/LaurenFaust on Website/DeviantArt, but it's been spelled as "Dragonokis" on The Hub's website and as "draconequis" in the closed captions.
** The spelling of Nightmare Moon's name was eventually confirmed through its use by the toyline and by the trading cards, but multiple other sources have either spelled it as Night Mare Moon or flip-flopped between the two.
** The name of Owlowiscious has had its spelling confirmed by his trading card by show creator Creator/LaurenFaust on Website/DeviantArt, and by show director Jayson Thiessen on Website/{{Twitter}}, but various other sources have spelled it as Owloysius, Owlicious, or even just Aloysius.

** Steven Magnet's name is spelt "Stephen" in the credits of "Slice of Life" for some reason.
* The premise of the TV show ''WesternAnimation/MyGymPartnersAMonkey'' was that [[TokenHuman Adam's]] last name was misspelled as L'''i'''on instead of L'''y'''on, which is why he got sent to a school of animals.
