The Tony needs Gary example has no context so that is out. Shippy and romantic fanart and meta shipping from staff does not count too as it shows the staff acknowledging the subtext. Plus waititi has made some confusing messages about Miek saying that Mirk is actually female and he previously said miek was make so any ho yay with Korg and Miek is out for now until love and thunder releases at least

* Tony needs Gary, and Gary needs Tony.

* Korg and Miek are almost inseparable for the entire film. They can be best described as ThoseTwoGuys, spending most of their screen time together.
** It’s most blatant when Korg is seen carrying Miek in his arms after the battle against Hela. When questioned by Thor on this, Korg claims that he accidentally killed Miek by stepping on him and out of guilt carried him in his arms but to Korg’s delight, Miek was only unconscious and wakes up.

* [[spoiler: At New Asgard, Korg And Miek]] appear again and this time it is revealed that they are living together [[spoiler:with Thor crashing over at their place once a month to get drunk, eat pizza, and play Fortnite with them]].

* Fitz pats Ward in uncomfortable ways a few times, including what looks like a broslap on the backside, and seems to idolise him more than a little. He also responds to [[spoiler:Ward's betrayal]] with a similar amount of distress to Skye, who was Ward's LoveInterest.
* Simmons and Skye develop something of a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship over the course of Season 1. In particular, Simmons' response to Skye's life-threatening injuries is to spend the best part of an episode stroking her forehead and hair. Then there's the fact that they've hugged at least as many times on-screen as they have with their canonical love interests...
* Following [[spoiler:Ward's betrayal and Simmons' temporary departure]], Fitz develops a relationship with Mack that is reminiscent of his relationship with Simmons in Season 1. A lot of Fitz/Ward shippers have defected to Fitz/Mack for this reason. It's even been noted that in Season 2 the Mack/Fitz/Simmons dynamic operates almost identically to the Fitz/Simmons/Triplett LoveTriangle in Season 1.
* Simmons has a rather transparent girl-crush on Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird. Bobbi herself has more of a CoolBigSister attitude to Simmons.
* When Fitz sadly tells Mack and Hunter how badly his attempt to confess his feelings for Simmons went and how he's sure she doesn't feel the same way [[spoiler:to the point of leaving]], Hunter is quick to assure him that "it's her loss". It's a sweet moment, but it does come across as a ''little'' flirtatious at the same time.

to:

* Jessica Jones and Trish's relationship crossed this line a few times, especially in the first episode. This is especially notable as ''Jeri'' is the one that received the AdaptationalSexuality treatment ''and'' the fact that they are adoptive sisters. Although it can probably be justified due to the fact that the show is staying true to the comic, where Trish's equivalent Carol Danvers also has massive amounts of Les Yay with Jessica. It's mentioned a few times that Trish is the only one person she explicitly states Jessica loves. In season 2 Jessica flat out says that Trish is the most important person in her life [[spoiler:to her mother Alisa]]. As discussed in one of the recent cleanup threads on this matter, entries this obtuse make for poor examples. As the main page mentions, they need to be self-evident enough for a reasonable non-fan to see the theoretical homoeroticism without requiring too much explanation or meta.

* Mordo goes from a [[CardCarryingVillain straightforward villain]] in the comics to a [[TheNotLoveInterest not love interest]] for Stephen Strange in this film, complete with a [[RescueRomance rescue romance]] minus the romance part. [[ShippingGoggles Maybe]]. Of course, their relationship becomes more of a FoeYay deal after [[spoiler:Mordo leaves Kamar-Taj and the Masters of the Mystic Arts at the end of the film.]]
* Mordo's the one who rescues Stephen Strange (both literally and figuratively), champions for him to the Ancient One, and mentors Stephen on a day-to-day teaching level (with the Ancient One playing a more aloof, otherworldly mentor). He's also openly concerned about Stephen's well-being, worrying about Stephen's heart during the multiverse sequence, protecting the less experienced Stephen during the mirror dimension sequence and in the Hong Kong climax; he even has to be physically restrained by the Ancient One from going after Stephen during the latter's sling ring training.
* Mordo overall comes across like he has a huge crush on Strange. Stephen's the one that makes him doubt the Ancient One, a [[AmbiguousGender person]] he's shown to feel deep respect and trust for. And what's the final straw that drives him to have a silent (not so silent in a [[NeverTrustATrailer promo]] for the film) HeroicBSOD and pushes into his DespairEventHorizon? It's not [[spoiler:Dormammu's arrival, Wong's death and (presumably) several other student and civilian casualties, not even the Ancient One's death.]] It's Stephen's [[spoiler:apparent betrayal when he flies to meet Dormmamu in the Dark Dimension.]] In Kaecilius' words: "Even Strange has left you."
** It's worth noting that the Ancient One's death does affect Mordo to a degree where it looks like he's about to give up on the fight against Kaecilius [[spoiler:and Dormammu]]. When Strange returns to the NY Sanctum and tells Mordo that [[spoiler:the Ancient One died]], Mordo goes on a tangent about how [[spoiler:the Dark Dimension could've overtaken the Ancient One]] and about how Kaecilius and the zealots' FaceHeelTurn is her fault. What pulls Mordo out of it is Strange telling him that he alone cannot defeat them and that he needs Mordo. In a way, Mordo keeps on fighting and defends the Hong Kong Sanctum because of Strange. It could be argued that both the Ancient One and Stephen Strange are the most important people in Mordo's life and that [[spoiler:one of them dying]] and [[spoiler:the other betraying him]] is what finally breaks him and pushes him pass his DespairEventHorizon and [[spoiler:into his very own FaceHeelTurn]]. In addition, during the Hong Kong climax, Wong is right there and he is presumably a good friend of Mordo, which makes it both interesting and suspicious that Kaecilius would assume that [[spoiler:losing Strange to Dormammu]] would affect Mordo more than losing a friend and colleague he has known for far longer than Strange.
* The Ancient One does seem keen to [[ShipperOnDeck enforce]] [[ShipperWithAnAgenda their camaraderie]], considering she had to know she was going to train Strange at some point (since she saw herself [[spoiler:dying in her future visions]], with Strange next to her). She even makes sure that Strange knows they'll need [[ThePowerOfLove each other]] [[spoiler:before she dies.]]
* Curiously enough, the film makes a point of Strange's brand of humor only working on the people who work for him, as Wong points out. Wong laughs after it's clear that he's going to be working for/with Strange, The Ancient One usually laughs at him and not with him, not even Christine finds his snarker tendencies amusing. All are annoyed by his cynicism, except Mordo, who smiles and laughs at his jokes. Not only does Mordo plays more love interest tropes than Christine does, Christine's [[DesignatedLoveInterest Designated Love Interest]]/[[SatelliteLoveInterest Satellite Love Interest]] vibe doesn't help. In the end, Mordo's arc with Strange wouldn't be out of place between the hero and his love interest.

Discussed on ATT and cleanup thread, many of these are a stretch relative to other examples on this page and come off as squealing/dubious. Anything that invoke the character's hetero relationship itself as slashy needs to go. Also examples where a character didn't react overtly negatively is not sufficient, as are examples that cite an example that leave out the negative reaction.

* Jimmy Woo and Scott get rather buddy-buddy despite Jimmy constantly trying to catch Scott sneaking off to do superheroing. At the end of the film, Woo tries to give Scott a subtle warning that he'll catch him the next time he breaks the law. Scott pretends to not get it, causing Woo to try an explain what he meant. Scott doesn't let up and even asks Woo if he was trying to invite him to dinner later, which Woo initially deflects... before asking if he would be interested.
