** A minor instance: when the Comedian chides Doctor Manhattan for not stopping him from murdering the pregnant Vietnamese woman (who was likely carrying Blake's child), he goes into a rant about Manhattan becoming so detached from humanity that he eventually won't give a shit about Laurie Juspeczyk (Silk Spectre II), Osterman's current paramour and (secretly) Blake's daughter by Sally Jupiter. The fact that the Comedian has the balls to not only call Manhattan out for his shitty behavior towards people, but makes special mention of a specific individual who may (and will) be hurt by it, displays how much this otherwise sociopathic killer cares about his estranged progeny.
