* During "Bart's Nightmare" from ''II'' after Homer is turned into a jack-in-the-box by Bart, Mr. Marvin Monroe suggests they get to know each other through bonding activities. Said activities include a ball game, fishing, going to church, and an amusement park. By the end of the segment, Bart is so touched by Homer's affection, that he gives him his old body back and the segment ends with the two of the embracing, saying they love each other and Homer kissing him. * "Starship Poopers" plays out a scenario in which ([[FaceFullOfAlienWingWong through no fault of Marge's]]) [[NotActuallyHisChild Homer is not Maggie's biological father]]...and the fact (along with her increasingly manifesting the gruesome traits of her real dad, Kang, sprouting fangs and losing her legs to grow tentacles) doesn't alter Homer's feelings for her in the slightest as he unhesitatingly fights for custody. While the segment doesn't dwell on this aspect of the situation, it's nicely driven home by a rowdy audience member when the controversy winds up on ''Series/JerrySpringer.''
