* Clarke's IKnowYoureInThereSomewhere ploy to get through to Madi was an insane risk, but it pays off and Madi comes back to herself after a season of SanitySlippage and ''throw'' herself into Clarke's arms sobbing. It's short-lived, because Sheidheda is not about to take that lying down, but also:

** Echo and Bellamy [[TheyDo comforting each other and sleeping together]] before she defects.

*** Octavia '''jumping''' into Bellamy's arms. She's been Bloodrina for six years and is still in full Bloodrina styling but in this one moment, all that fades away and she's just Bellamy's little sister reuniting with her big brother.

** The fact that Octavia ''allows'' Echo to defect after Bellamy tells her he will leave with her if she doesn't accept Echo shows that she still has some affection for her brother.

*** The fact that Octavia trusts her brother enough, even when they are essentially enemies, to send the guards out of the room when he arrives. Too bad he poisons her, likely destroying that trust for ever.

* Crossing into [[TearJerker]] In a strange way Monty and Harper have an Unambiguously happy ending. They are together, raise a son, and die of natural causes. It is a fitting conclusion for them.

* Octavia's first [[spoiler: and last]] day of Freedom on the Ark allows her to see the Earth and the Moon for the first time ever. The look of wonder in her eyes and what happens next is heartbreaking.

* The Ark trio in the season finale. [[spoiler:The jettison systems have failed and need to be manually activated, meaning [[HeroicSacrifice someone has to be left behind.]] [[TheAtoner Kane]] decides he will do it. Abby tries to stop him and grabs his hand, saying that they'll find another way, but she is informed by the others that by then it'll be too late to save anyone. As he leaves, people reach out their hands to him in thanks for his sacrifice... until the dropship suddenly jettisons from the Ark and Jaha bids farewell to them, [[IChooseToStay staying behind instead]]. Back in the beginning of the season, you probably assumed that Kane and Jaha were corrupt leaders. If anything, the season's endgame has proved otherwise. [[ChainsOfCommanding They may have been willing]] [[WellIntentionedExtremist to do anything for their people]], but they will do ''anything'' to ''ensure that as many people possible can survive,'' specifically.]] And as for Abby, considering how badly her relationship with Kane especially went at the beginning as well, it's still heartwarming to find that she's willing to forgive and holds no grudges against someone who she's probably been friends with for years.]]
** When the dropship [[spoiler:gets to Earth, Abby describes how beautiful it is to Jaha with the remaining time they have on the communication to the Ark.]]

* Jaha befriends a grounder mother and her disfigured son, who save him. [[spoiler:He doesn't even blame them for when the parents betray him.]]

* Anya finally agrees to work with Clarke to save both their people. [[spoiler: Unfortunately, she gets shot by Clarke's people moments later.]]

* The truth behind Finn's illegal spacewalk is actually pretty sweet: [[spoiler: He never actually took a spacewalk himself. Raven had just earned her Zero-Gravity mechanics certification, but she failed the physical due to a potentially dangerous heart murmur, so Finn "borrowed" a spacesuit and found an un-monitored airlock for her to use to take a spacewalk. Unfortunately, after she got back in, an emergency protocol got tripped, summoning guards to the airlock and leaving Finn and Raven with no way to escape. Since Finn was only seventeen (and thus, not yet eligible for execution under Ark laws, he put on the suit himself and took the blame to protect Raven.]]

* Despite her insistence that emotions are a sign of weakness, Lexa genuinely cares about Clarke's safety and comes to respect her very quickly. Her voice during [[spoiler: Finn's execution]] is never softer in the entire series; she's ''gentle'' with Clarke, where she normally doesn't let herself be. Which, of course, makes her ultimate devotion to her people even more tragic.

* During the climax of the finale when [[spoiler:the characters are being set up for MeatgrinderSurgery, they take Abby. Kane ups his begging and begs them to [[TakeMeInstead take him instead]], also trying to reason that they can donate instead. Too bad it falls on deaf ears.]]

* In "Wanheda: Part I," when [[spoiler: Bellamy, Monty, Raven, and Jasper are driving in the jeep on their way to a distress signal, seeing Jasper happily singing with the crew when he turns his music up, even sticking his head out of the jeep's roof and yelling at the top of his lungs, is very heartwarming considering what happened to him at the end of Season II. In that moment, he finally felt like the old Jasper.]]
* [[spoiler: Clarke's night with Niylah, beginning with Niylah protecting Clarke from two Ice Nation bounty hunters who are looking for Clarke and ending with the two sleeping together. It seems Clarke genuinely wanted that moment.]]
* [[spoiler: Murphy finally escaping the bunker after eighty-three days of confinement, later on reuniting with Emori, the Desert Clan woman he seemingly bonded with on their way to the City of Light. Yes, Murphy was his usual asshole self, but he seems to be on the road to redemption.]]

* In "Ye Who Enter Here", Lexa [[spoiler: proves her devotion to Clarke, by offering the Sky People a place in the coalition and secretly swearing fealty to Clarke to ensure she will never be forced to put her people before Clarke's again.]]
* Clarke [[spoiler: ultimately sparing Lexa after getting her at knifepoint]], proving she hasn't descended as far as we were led to think. Also, Lexa apologizes for her part in pushing Clarke that far.

* "Watch The Thrones" is basically one huge one for Lexa, such as the clear pride she speaks with when regarding the Nightbloods and particularly when [[spoiler: Clarke redresses one of her wounds, and the two share a tender moment. Lexa's face is devoid of her eye pain, she wears no braids in her hair, and has no armor on, coming to Clarke's chambers in only a gown to thank her. In this one scene, we see Lexa smiling more than she has in all of her prior appearances, with the evident hope that she and Clarke might just be heading in a better direction.]]

* Monty not hesitating to charge back into and haul Monroe out of the [[spoiler: poisoned smoke. Sure, it doesn't stop her from dying, but it shows how Monty's NiceGuy and NoOneGetsLeftBehind tendencies have persevered through all the crap he's been through.]]
* Clarke and Lexa [[spoiler: ''finally'' sleep together.]] Unfortunately, [[{{TearJerker}} it's a short-lived moment...]]
* Even while [[spoiler: dying of a gunshot wound, Lexa makes Titus swear to never harm Clarke again]]
* After [[spoiler: Lexa's death]], Aden reveals that [[spoiler: Lexa made each of the young Nightbloods vow to be loyal to Clarke and the Sky People, in the event of becoming Commander]]
* [[spoiler: Octavia not giving up on a recently shamed Indra, even going to her FIRST when she needs someone to storm Arkadia with. Indra brushes her off at first, but just as Octavia is about to leave Polis, Indra arrives to join her. It shows that the student never truly gave up on the teacher, and vice-versa.]]

** In "Stealing Fire", Kane and Abby are given one last time to see each other [[spoiler:before the former gets placed in a cell to be executed later.]] Abby can't do it again, because she already [[spoiler:lost [[FirstLove Jake]] that way.]], but Kane comforts her and tells her things will be okay. Doubles as TearJerker.
** [[spoiler:And then right before they escape, Abby [[IChooseToStay stays behind]] to watch over everyone else during Pike's rule. And then they kiss.]]
** [[spoiler:[=ALIE=]!]]Abby tries to get to Kane by exploiting their relationship. Kane truly believed that she was frightened and that it was a genuine [[spoiler:kiss]] again, up until [[OutOfCharacterAlert she straddles him]], and he realizes that [[spoiler:Jaha [[BrainwashedAndCrazy chipped her]]]].
** [[spoiler:Then, he gets [[FauxSymbolism crucified]], but [[DefiantToTheEnd still refuses to take the chip.]] And then [=ALIE=]!Jaha threatens to shoot a willing [=ALIE=]!Abby. That's what causes him to cave in.]]

** [[spoiler:Clarke and Lexa reuniting in the City of Light with the two of them sharing one final kiss and Clarke confirming that she loves Lexa while Lexa tells Clarke that she will always be with her.]]

* The 99th spot on Clarke's "Save" list goes to [[spoiler: Bellamy]]
** Then, when she can't bring herself to add [[spoiler: herself]] to the list after he insists that she does, he does it himself.

** During the [[spoiler: time skip: Clarke wasn't alone. She found a little Nightblood girl and is shown treating her like a daughter. It's nice to see that there was at least some positivity in those six years, even if it has left literally everyone else in an AmbiguousSituation]].

** Abby and Kane being with Jaha [[spoiler:as he dies.]]

** Raven [[spoiler:sacrificing herself by staying on the ship without an escape route]] to give her group their best chance on the ground and to provide them with leverage to deal with the inmates.
** Bellamy's reluctance to leave Raven [[spoiler:on the ship]] when she insists she has to stay and Raven [[spoiler:lying about there being an emergency pod that will get her down to the ground -- just so Bellamy will agree to return to the ground with the others]].
** Even though Murphy made the commitment believing there was a way down, his decision to [[spoiler: remain with Raven so she wouldn't be alone, as well as her genuinely touched, "Thanks."]]
** Bellamy and Monty's reactions when they learn [[spoiler:Clarke is alive]].
** While being tortured by the inmates, Clarke's face when she sees that [[spoiler:Bellamy has come for her.]]
** When Bellamy rescues [[spoiler:Clarke]]:
