Raven's mother was neglectful and she never knew her father, so Sinclair seems to have taken it upon himself to make this girl know that someone thinks she's worth it, even if she doesn't. Though he's a NonActionGuy, he doesn't hesitate to put himself in danger if it means Raven will be safe, even managing to land a hit on Emerson, despite Emerson cutting off the electricity.

Clarke seizes on the idea, but her hands are shaking too much to hold the blade. Jackson gently takes it from her to perform the procedure. Removing the Flame means the loss of a leader for Wonkru, and Gaia is visibly heartbroken as she takes the bloody hardware when it's removed, but Madi is a child and Clarke's daughter and despite all of the animosity this season and last, that's still important. * Murphy is lowkey heartwarming in mid-Season 3, as much as he can be. He's legitimately sympathetic to Clarke and what she's going through with Lexa's death, even holding her while she's mourning. At no point does he abandon her or try to sell her out to save his own skin, and when Roan provides them a perfectly good escape route, rather than running he stays with Clarke as she refuses to leave, one of the most un-Murphy things possible. It really speaks volumes that a guy who until this point was defined by his ruthlessness and need to survive would willingly put his safety in jeopardy just to make sure that Clarke wasn't alone and could get out of Polis safely. Clarke even considers him a friend because of it.
