* Several of Obi-Wan and Anakin's [[FriendshipMoment friendship scenes]] in RevengeofTheSith that show how close the two are. The last time they ever talk to eachother is especially moving, with Anakin apologizing to Obi-Wan for being a bit of a dick, and Obi-Wan brushing it off and telling Anakin that he's proud of him and the man that he has become. [[TearJerker In light of what happens at the end of the film,]] [[HarsherinHindsight that scene gets much, much sadder.]]

* On the subject of Creator/{{Disney}} buying out Lucasfilm, Creator/GeorgeLucas issued the follwing statement:

** Darth Vaders' son, who has every reason to deny even the remotest connection with him, has just openly, and proudly acknowledged the relationship between them. Considering he's been trying to get his son on his side for two movies now, that's gotta mean something.

** The ending also has the entire galaxy celebrating when the second Death Star is destroyed, which means that the Imperial army is gone and freedom and democracy have returned. It's just... the fireworks, the cheering, the energy... *sniff*

* The original theatrical ending of ReturnOfTheJedi. This troper never fails to tear up when Leia runs up and hugs Luke. For some reason this moment was shortened in the 1997 release onwards. and also, Luke seeing his father as the man he would have been had he not turned to the dark side, sharing a friendly look with Obi-Wan and then favoring his offspring with a loving smile.

** For me, it's the hug between Luke and [[AcePilot Wedge,]] especially when you consider how Wedge and Rogue Squadron fought nonstop while Luke trained in the Force. Their relationship may have been mainly professional, but their embrace is warm and brotherly, each sharing their relief and thanking the other for their tenacity.

* This troper has always loved Luke's ShutUpHannibal to The Emperor, but one line always stands out because of its multitude of heartwarming implications;

*** For this troper, this one line is what lays the foundation for his redemption.

** Watching the movie in hindsight, it's not hard to see why they love each other. I mean, they stimulate each other intellectually, they make each other laugh, and are both physically attracted to each other. It's just unfortunate that the dialogue was so stilted, it could have been one of the better parts of the movie.

* After TheReveal in ''TheEmpireStrikesBack'' Vader's actions take on a [[HalfTruth different light]]; he's not the EvilOverlord trying to destroy TheHero, but a [[PapaWolf father desperate to get his son back.]]

* Before the Battle of Yavin, C3PO telling R2(who he's been mostly mean to throughout ANH) "Hang on tight, Artoo. You've got to come back. You wouldn't want my life to get boring, would you?"

** Especially after you factor in ''RevengeOfTheSith'', Vader's spent the last twenty years believing he killed Luke along with Padme.

* The [[RomanticPlotTumor Anakin/Padme]] relationship in ''AttackOfTheClones'' attracts a lot of bashing, but Padme's AnguishedDeclarationOfLove at the end of the film is actually a [[MostlyNarmless bit moving.]]
