* A weird meta moment in the teaser of ''Fugue and Riffs'', which is a gentle parody of Jon Benjamin's [[ActorAllusion other show]], WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers. Archer (Bob), who has no memory of his life as a spy, is closing up for the night when a four-man KGB hit squad enter the restaurant. Thinking they are robbers, offers them the money from the till, and even gives them permission to sexually assault him, so long as they don't hurt his family. Archer has been submissive to the intruders, but the moment one of them moves over to where the Belchers are [[WouldHurtAChild to beat them]], [[PapaWolf Archer]] -- who still has no memory of his previous life with all his badass training, and with only a spatula as a weapon -- [[CurbStompBattle brutally kills]] all four men.

** On a Meta sense, the people who worked on ''Archer'' already worked on ''WesternAnimation/SeaLab2021'', which left with a BaitAndSwitch that confirmed that there were not going to be any new episodes. Imagine the delight when fans of ''WesternAnimation/SeaLab2021'' saw [[HesBack Captain Murphy making a new appearance again.]]

* In a case of RealLifeWritesThePlot, Malory decides to retire, and leaves Archer with what at first reads like a suicide note. However, we then see her relaxing on a beach with Ron. The episode ends with a tribute to Jessica Walter.
** The departure note itself is quite touching; despite all the vitriol, abuse, and general dysfunctionality that was the ISIS/Figgis Detective Agency/the Agency, Malory's farewell is completely sincere, with the only hint of her saltiness being a note that Sterling doesn't remember what she said to him on his first day of training, and warning not to let the [[PassingTheTorch proverbial torch]] "burn" them. While it isn't outright stated, her wishing the main cast well all but says that, despite it all, [[SoProudOfYou she is proud of Archer]] and the rest and was entrusting them with the future of the Agency, come what may.
** A big meta one: Ron Cadillac was voiced by Creator/RonLeibman, Jessica Walter's real-life husband. How does the married couple voiced by the real-life deceased married couple end up? Together, happily watching the sunset in peace. [[ManlyTears If you'll excuse me...]]

* When Archer tells Lana that he's considering taking Katya up on her offer, she tells him that she knows deep down that he'd never make the world a worse place just to make it better for himself.

* Krieger and Zara end up bonding over their interest in homonyms.

* When Archer hears Barry's voice coming from the box the [[ItMakesSenseInContext latter mailed himself in]] he's overjoyed to hear him. Seems for once Archer hasn't forgotten a good bond he made with Barry(Even if he forgot Barry's [[HeroicSacrifice Sacrifice]])

** While it was at Ray's expense over the fact that a carnivorous plant ate his right hand and wasn't too happy about it, the fact that at the episode's end Archer making light of another failed mission by saying to "give Ray a hand" that it made everyone (except ''him'' of course) laugh, including Mallory, who was immediately brought of her sour mood and smiled and laughed too.

** Boris, the assistant to Nikolai Jakov ([[InsistentTerminology former head of the KGB]]) probably got ''the'' most shit out of almost any character in the series from his various bosses. To see him in a happy relationship with Katya is honestly touching in its own way.

* "Double Indecency": ''Everyone'' [[https://youtu.be/hCchr1IlXh4 coming to Pam's defense]] when Don Zissner refers to Pam as Baby Huey[[note]]a cartoon character who was considered fat, ugly, and dumb[[/note]]. Say what you want about the cast, but they're a (very dysfunctional) family.

** The whole premise of the episode is just the gang trying to save Archer's daughter. Not them deliberately creating more chaos wherever they go, just trying to save a loved one.

** This episode is also one of the very, ''very'' few times where Archer's asshole tendencies take a backseat. It feels genuinely nice seeing Archer not act like a huge dick like he usually does.

* Cheryl [[SubvertedCatchPhrase tells Ms. Kane that she is indeed her supervisor]].

* A.J. Choosing Lana over Robert in their custody battle, while still thanking Robert for being a supporting father.
* After trollling Archer by pretending she doesn’t know who he is (which both hurts and impresses Archer) A.J. gives him a hug, which he’s wanted since coming out of a coma.

* When Pam is visibly upset about the prospect of missing her brunch date, Archer sincerely asks her what's wrong, and she confesses that her date is with Alessia, who she's been seeing, and that she wants to take their relationship to the next level. Archer is surprised that Pam cares enough about someone to want to be with them past a one night stand, but he is very supportive and encourages her to not have any fear of commitment. At then end of the episode, Pam asks Alessia to become her polyamorous primary, to which Alessia enthusiastically accepts.
