** In the book "Twin Peaks the Final Dossier" Annie's backstory and fate are explained. [[Spoiler: Annie was brought to Calhoun Medical Center and seemed to be recovering when (as seen in the Missing Pieces) a nurse took the ring off her finger. After this point she became catatonic. She's being cared for by Norma Jennings and comes out of her state exactly once a year, on the anniversary of when she exited the Lodges. At this point she will say, appropos of nothing "I'm fine" before returning to catatonia.]]

* What the hell happened to Annie? She's the whole Reason Cooper went into the black lodge and got his body stolen but she doesn't figure into The Return at all. You think she'd be given some significance even if as an off screen character. She had more significance in Fire Walk With Me where she only appeared for five seconds.

*So did Bobby seriously kill someone? Because this wrench being thrown into the prequel just draws so many goddamn questions. He freaks out about it yet is fine days later in the series. No one notices this guy is missing? No one finds a body when there's a massive investigation going on around town. It was just so obviously not planned as part of Bobby's story arc or the show's story overall. But if it didn't happen (and several characters do insist that it didn't happen, it's sort of weird) what was the bloody point?

** MIKE states that he and BOB murdered people together long before Laura Palmer came on the scene. He might have killed Laura for mystical reasons but the rest was just for fun, Theresa because of her connection to Leland and Ronette simply because she happened to be there.

* If Laura Palmer was some kind of Chosen One created by the White Lodge and that is why BOB killed her, what do Theresa Banks and Ronette Pulaski have to do with anything?

**** It is written in ''The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer'', where BOB is always written in capital letters. A better question would be why MIKE is written in all caps, since it is not an acronym. Perhaps it is done to keep a stylistic match with Laura Palmer's writing of BOB.

** It's possible this rendering took root thanks to ''The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer,'' where, with very few exceptions, presumably typos, BOB is always spelled in all-caps.
