*** Somewhat. Odinson made himself unworthy because he started to doubt himself. The Unworthy Thor mini showed a flashback where Thor told Jane that he was continually afraid of the possibility that each time he went to lift the hammer, it would be the time that he couldn't. To Odinson, "worthiness" was not an inherent state but a state that must be perpetually maintained. His fight with Gorr caused this self-doubt to fester and grow until the hammer rejected him. It's own developing sentience and Thor always treating it as a mere tool, instead of an extension of himself, probably played a part too...

* Why is Jane worthy and Thor unworthy? Yes, I know the "Gor is right" bit. Aside from the FantasticRacism and other UnfortunateImplications of that claim I don't see how that applies to Thor. For that matter, I don't see Jane doing anything different for Thor. Leading with the hammer, protecting innocents, disrespectful to Odin...how is she different from Thor? Why is she considered worhty and he is not?

** Maybe it's a placebo effect (ie Thor is unworthy because he thinks he's unworthy)?

** Maybe it's a placebo effect (ie Thor is unworthy because he thinks he's unworthy)?unworthy)? There's also the fact that the wording on Mjolnir spontaneously changed. Maybe Mjolnir wanted a new wielder? Maybe someone tampered with Mjolnir's enchantment?

*** The more confusing thing is that, Beta Ray Bill and Red Norville aside, we've seen that the Hammer DOES physically change the bodies of those who wield it (Eric Masterson and Dargo are very blatant examples of this.) So the question becomes, why the hell is her form considered an illusion?!

* I'm not sure why a lot of Marvel fans hate her as Thor. What's wrong with having the hero's girlfriend/ex-girlfriend replacing him? Plus, this makes Jane a more interesting character. It's better than being just the on-and-off love interest to the hero, or a damsel in distress.
** Well, from what I gathered (I don't mind Jane) it's a somewhat overdone TheyChangedItNowItSucks reaction (most fans in my experience don't like changes that much to begin with), coupled with the writer going for occasionally very over the top feminist rhetoric (which does rub some people the wrong way for one reason or another), and Marvel hyping up this ''controversy'' too (they're the kind of company that thinks there's no such thing as bad publicity). Also in some internet places it's simply just fashionable to hate her.
** There are a slew of reasons besides changing it. The Whisper comes across as a poorly thought out way to make Thor unworthy instead of actually coming up with a reason. The CharacterShilling of Jane Foster as being better than Thor gets on a lot of people's nerves. She is instantly better at everything Thor-related despite the latter's vast training and experience because....???? Jane Foster herself does not make sense to many. Mjolnir is a warrior's weapon for killing and Jane Foster has little battle experience so why her and where did she get her fighting skills from? Valkyrie or Comicbook/MsMarvel among other would make more sense. The CharacterDerailment of Thor and Odin is another big one. Thor goes form mighty thunder god to drunken, barbarian loser whining about the loss of his hammer. This make Thor looks useless without his hammer unlike other heroes like the Comicbook/IncredibleHulk and [[TheIncredibleHercules Hercules]]. Odin has become a StrawCharacter exaggerating his worst traits solely to make the women look good. Thor giving up his own name is another big one sense it is his actual name instead of a title. It would be like calling every U. S. President George Washington because they took that job. So, Jane comes across as trying to take Thor's identity. Thor is "Odinson." Who is Odinson? Vidar? Balder? Hermod? Odin has had many sons. Finally, at times because of all the above along with the write just going over the type with it the writing comes across as an AuthorTract that at times fills out of place with in the story and the occasional obvious TakeThat against anyone who does not like the story. Some attempts to paint those who do not like the story as misogynistic despite that not being the case does not help. And yes, there is a small grougp of the TheyChangedItnowItSucks crowd.

I deleted Loki as he was never Odinson in the mainstream continuity. I'm not editing opinion otherwise no matter how I think it's just saying "They Changed it Now it Sucks" in much more words than it deserves.

* Why did Jane kiss Sam? I can't seem to find anything online explaining why. Was it a platonic type kiss, or did she really like Sam? I'm confused.

** Ugh, that's a scary thought. The transformation "heals" her by purging the chemotherapy drugs from her system, but if it also heals injuries, it might regrow anything she had removed.

* Jane has breast cancer. Chemotherapy is negated by the powers of Mjolnir. But what's stopping her from simply getting a mastectomy? She'd still have both breasts as Thor, due to the appearance changing powers of the hammer.
