** Because the story takes place in Jiminy's Journal from Kingdom Hearts 1 through the events in Chain of Memories, and Tron wasn't in it until KH 2.

Added DiffLines:

* So let me get this straight: This was a game all about computers and digital tech, and they DIDN'T include a ''Film/{{Tron}}'' world? Why not?

** On the other hand, you could see it as FridgeBrilliance. Assuming that Riku was chosen by [[spoiler:Naminé (since she was behind all the manipulation in the journal)]] to safeguard the journal's contents, [[spoiler:she]] would have done it after witnessing Riku in Re:Chain of Memories vowing to fight the Darkness with everything he had, and succeeding, as well as likely having noticed him all throughout Days working to protect (and help) Sora while he slept.

*** Maybe in [[VideoGame/KingdomHearts3D 3D]] Sora will experience a HeroicBSOD at some point from the sheer shock of it all? After all, [[spoiler:Vanitas]] of all people will be showing up. If [[spoiler: he]] appears, with non-kid Sora in the same game, it's definite something bad will happen.

* How can [[Disney/SleepingBeauty Maleficent]] hack into a computer when she lives in a world without computers?

***In this respect the journal acts like a computer hard drive where a simple wipe doesn't actual delete the data and can be recovered as long as it hasn't been overridden.

Added DiffLines:

**Probably he set aside the 1st journal for further investigation at a later date as having his memories returned to him by KH 2 should allow him to recognize what it should and should not contain at least the KH parts.

Added DiffLines:

*I'm surprised this hasn't bugged me until now. So, Jiminy writes down all the events of KH 1 in his journal, and I assume he writes the events of CoM in the blank space afterwards, hence why he doesn't realize the entries from the first game are missing until a few floors up. So, if all the entries of both games get wiped during the year-long skip between CoM and KH 2, save two words, why does he pull out an entirely new journal to record everything that happens in KH 2? He has an entirely useable journal already!

Added DiffLines:

** re:coded is composed of enemies and bosses from the first game, with some of those bosses and all the Disney worlds featured [[VideoGame/KingdomHearts358DaysOver2 just the game before]]. The previous game's use of palette swaps also means this is the third or fourth time some of the Heartless bosses have been fought across the series. With all this in mind, the varying gameplay was likely to make the bosses interesting to fight again.

Added DiffLines:

** Yes, it's implicitly stated in the first cutscene that while the physical written entries are gone, the memories of those entries still remain in the journal's pages. It's those memories that they're digitizing. Basically, Jiminy's journal made a backup save of all the entries data.

Added DiffLines:

* How did they digitize the contents of KH 1's journal if the entries got wiped? Were the entries still ''there'' in some form?

Added DiffLines:

*** In Kingdom Hearts 3D, Maleficent and Pete get into Disney Castle to kidnap Minnie. Maybe the Cornerstone just prevents Heartless and thorns?

** Data Sora was basically a litmus test for Sora's heart. [[spoiler:Data Sora went through the castle and accepted the pain of loss, and then took on all of Data Roxas's pain without wavering]]. If Data Sora can do that, then it's clear that the real Sora can do the same.

** I think what's important to take into account and what a lot of people forget is that even though the ''fandom'' has been all over the issue of WhatMeasureIsANonHuman we haven't gotten as much of that in the games themselves. You run into it with the replica project, but they are beings that are flat out stated to have hearts and therefore count as 'human' for the games' purposes. Since the fandom has discussed it so much, however, I think people miss how important it is that coded is basically WhatMeasureIsANonHuman : the Game. That said, I think a lot of the dislike for the game is a sort of fatigue; by the time coded came out, people had played this same set of worlds a bare minimum of three times.
