* ''Anime/{{Robotech}}'' naturally picked this up from ''Anime/SuperDimensionFortressMacross'', but had notable examples of its own.
** Komillia Jenius from Macross became Dana Sterling, both in her initial appearances during "The Macross Saga" and in the overwritten ''Robotech'' dub of ''Anime/SuperDimensionCavalrySouthernCross'', renamed "The Masters Saga". The reason given for her hair changing from blue-green (in the Macross segments) to blonde was the increasing amounts of anti-Zentraedi (and Zentraedi-hybrid, naturally) prejudice in the Armies of the Southern Cross. As a result, Dana dyed her hair to avoid the hassle. As both ''Southern Cross'' and "The Masters Saga" had a rather anti-alien, xenophobic military as a major plot point, this {{Retcon}} was actually rather well done.
** Near the end of "The Masters Saga", Dana has a protoculture-induced vision of a sister she's never known, born to her parents after they left Earth on the SDF-3. In the ''Robotech'' novel continuity, this character became Aurora Sterling. In the animated continuity, according to ''WesternAnimation/RobotechTheShadowChronicles'', this became hot shot fighter ace Maia Sterling.
** In the "[[Anime/GenesisClimberMospeada The Next Generation]]" saga that made up the last third of ''Robotech'', we were treated to Marlene, an amnesiac young woman who was [[spoiler:actually Ariel, the first attempt of the Invid Regis to further evolve her race into human form]]. Furthermore, the Invid prince Corg and Invid Princess Sera are both Invid-human hybrids, due to the Invid Regis' belief in humanity's evolutionary superiority to her own race's original form.

* In ''LightNovel/SoImASpiderSoWhat'' Humans can conceivably have children with both Demons and Elves, though this is extremely rare due to the ForeverWar and extreme isolationism, respectively. The reason this is possible is that [[spoiler:Demons and Elves are just sub-species of Humans created by forced "evolution" using MA energy]].

* ''Manga/JiuJiu'': The eponymous "Jiu Jiu" are the offspring of humans and the various "beasts" or "demons" that lurk in the shadows. Jiu Jiu function much like [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent werewolves]], able to switch between human and dog-like forms almost instantly and suffering from uncontrollable transformations during the full moon. They have human-like intelligence, though they mature and age at a rate comparable to canines. Snow and Night are a pair of Jiu Jiu brothers who were surrendered to the demon-hunting Hachioji Clan by their mother's family. They're raised by the Hachioji clan to assist in hunting down other demons.

* In ''Anime/DevilMayCryTheAnimatedSeries'', this is blatantly stated by Bradley to Dante. This is highly uncommon because demons tend to enjoy tormenting and killing humans. However, Dante's father was a demon who [[RebelLeader rebelled against the demon emperor]] and sided with humans. Afterwards, he ruled the human world and had two twin sons, Dante and Vergil, before disappearing.

A quick shot in the second season shows that she has both squirrel and human ears.

* ''Manga/DragonHalf'' has the heroine Mink, whose mother was a dragon and whose father was a (human) dragon hunter. And Princess Vina, whose father was a king, and whose mother was a slime (similar to those in ''VideoGame/DragonQuest'').

This was only possible because their ancestors used the cursed springs to turn animals into women, but they somehow [[SuperPowerfulGenetics inherited incredibly useful traits]] of their mothers' true forms (such as an acute sense of smell, superhuman strength, and, in the half-dragon's case, flight.)
* Being a ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'' {{expy}}, ''Roleplay/RecordOfLodossWar'' has a few of these, the most traditional of these being Leaf, the Shaman from the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight TV series. Being Half Human and Half Elven, she is correctly referred to as a Half-Elf.

He was born pure human, but was merged with a Blow Demon (a kind of Astral Goblin) and a stone {{Golem}} through the magic of Rezo, the Red Priest. This gives him pointed ears, blue skin, purple/lavender hair, patches of pebble-like "growths" all over his body, and either skin or flesh of solid rock.

* In ''Manga/TokyoGhoul'', One-Eyed Ghouls are said to be half-human and half-Ghoul. Protagonist Kaneki Ken becomes one after an organ transplant, and learns that others may exist as well. The legendary One-Eyed Owl is rumored to be a naturally-occurring hybrid, though this is the stuff of urban legend in the Ghoul community. However, these hybrids are noted to be more powerful than ordinary Ghouls and are invisible to the RC scanners the [[HunterOfMonsters CCG]] uses to detect Ghouls. Their name comes from the fact their GameFace only has one [[BlackEyesOfEvil Kakugan]], as opposed to both eyes changing. The sequel reveals more about these legendary hybrids: [[spoiler:In reality, the vast majority of hybrids are virtually identical to their human parent and lack most of their ghoul parent's abilities. Their enhanced physical abilities and [[BlessedWithSuck significantly]] shortened lifespan make them ideal as disposable TykeBombs for the CCG. Arima, the oldest of the hybrids, reveals that he is dying from old age.....at the age of '''32''']].

** Inuyasha is half-dog-{{youkai}} and has a mixture of dog and human traits. He's mostly human in appearance ([[LittleBitBeastly aside from his gray hair and dog ears]]) but has supernatural powers, dog fangs, SupernaturalGoldEyes, claws, and a hyperacute sense of hearing and smell. His abilities are inferior to his full-blooded [[UpToEleven daiyoukai]] brother's, but having a daiyoukai father means he's much stronger than powerful, but ordinary, youkai. One night a month he's forced to [[BroughtDownToNormal transform into a human]], and if his life is in grave danger a SuperPoweredEvilSide takes over where his youkai blood takes control of his mind and body.

** Jinenji is also half-youkai, half-human, but the species of his youkai parent is unknown. Unlike Inuyasha, his appearance is much uglier and more beastial. However, he's inherited healing powers from his youkai side and is incredibly gentle, contrasting the prettier, aggressive, violent Inuyasha. Jinenji has also inherited phenomenal physical strength, but he almost never uses it due to being a pacifist.

* ''Manga/SilverDiamond'' has Chigusa: half-man, half-plant. Which apparently makes you damn near immortal. [[spoiler: Apparently, it's a family trait of the Senroh clan, earning them the title of Immortal Monsters.]]

* Rin from ''Manga/BlueExorcist'' is half-demon, specifically the resident AntiAntiChrist and TheHero. It is a little played with though: although Rin gets the usual treatment hybrids get in fiction, it is later revealed that it isn't exactly because he is a half-blood -- apparently, a lot of exorcists have mixed heritage -- but because he is a son of [[BigBad Satan]] himself. [[spoiler: For example, Izumo is descended from a Byakko, though at this point it's such a distant relationship it doesn't truly count except for some special leanings in the family line, including apparently some very StrongFamilyResemblance.]]
