* Considering the overall feel of a bunch of children in a G-rated film, the fact Marcie recommends both ''[[Literature/AdventuresOfHuckleberryFinn Huckleberry Finn]]'' and ''[[Literature/TheCatcherInTheRye The Catcher in the Rye]]'' (both highly controversial reading choices even for older students) can be seen as quite dissonant and humorous.
