Slapstick Knows No Gender is no longer a trope.

* Two words for a moment from Episode 10: Malfunctioning. Tart. Right as Cream and Tart were sitting together, Cream [[LesYay rather embarrassedly telling Tart how "mature" her second form looked]], Tart gets [[SlapstickKnowsNoGender beaned with a soccer ball]] due to Bakumaru and Pochiro being careless nearby. They check to see if she's alright, to find that the ball had ''[[InvoluntaryShapeshifter literally knocked her face off]]''. Now, Chicken Tart? [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom Attractive]]. Human Tart? [[MsFanservice Attractive]]. [[PartialTransformation Human-Body-With-A-Chicken-Head]] Tart? Absolutely ridiculous, and she knows it; she didn't even bother fixing it before chasing after the two to kick their asses. [[spoiler: And then at the end of the episode, Pochiro reveals that '''''he did it on purpose.''''' Cue OhCrap when he finds out that [[RightBehindMe she's standing nearby, having heard the whole thing]].]]

* The Honest Woodcutter episode has ''all twelve Eto Rangers'' selected for the next Novel World mission (the only time this officially happened until the Dark Mugen arc). Once the mission was completed, however, it is revealed that [[spoiler: Kirinda sent them all to the Novel World simply just to see if he could.]]

* The Frankenstein episode starts off with Cream and Urii horrified that they have to join Pakaracchi and Bakumaru on a mission to a Novel World filled with monsters. When they arrive, however, they find it filled with adorable monster girls (like Frankenstein's Monster herself) and friendly citizens (like a werewolf that turns into a regular cute dog, or a mummy who acts like a doctor). They defeat the Jyarei monster causing the corruption, only to freak out when they realize the monster's influence was the reason the Novel World was far less scary in the first place.

This instead leaves everyone, including Souffle, confused and frustrated. This was brought up here, the next episode, and even the finale by Souffle herself, though Bakumaru forgot how it went.

Added DiffLines:

* The start of Episode 12 has the team worried about Aura's warning of a stronger Jyarei Monster in the upcoming Novel World mission. This, combined with said monster's energy messing with Kirinda's ability to identify said world, and the story it's based on, makes the situation even more ominous. What makes this funny is that when Bakumaru, Monk, Cream, Nyorori, and Urii are selected for this mission, much to their horror, everyone else don't even bother hiding their relief. Cream calls them out on this while the rest of the picked team complain.
